We ate here several weeks ago for the monday night omakase and had a wonderful time. The owner/chef guided us through the full meal which ended up being a ton of food. It was a great mix of things and very abundant. We eat here pretty regularly for sushi so coming here for a special family night out and letting him choose the meals was a real treat. We highly recommend.

We got bamboozled by the positive reviews. Should have taken photos of the crab Rangoon as it was over cooked and there was filling missing in one of them. The soft shell crab wasn’t bad. The shrimp udon was 28 dollars and was not anything to really write about. The “Somo press” was as if they tried to combine the spirit of musubi. The problem with it is the ratio between fish and rice. The rice tasted fine but there must have been a fish shortage because it had as baffled at the amount they gave us (see pic). The sprinkled furikake was a cute idea but you’re paying for convenient store level food at higher price. My wife’s roll was a bit mushy but I digress. Give other places a try because this place was not it.

I had the pleasure of going to Somo yesterday and got to meet the owner Nino. Nino is a great guy and I had a great time at Somo. They are refreshing the menu in Jan/Feb so super excited to see the new options. In the meantime I got some sashimi and rolls. The taste and creativity was amazing! Really impressed and this restaurant is a hidden gem. Would highly recommend.

I just had a fantastic experience at Somo Kitchen ! The udon noodles were cooked to perfection — that texture was spot on: soft , chewy , and deeply satisfying . I also tried the Desire sushi rolls , and they were so delicate and beautifully crafted . Each bite felt balanced and fresh . You can really tell the care that goes into the presentation and flavor here . This spot is definitely a new favorite . I’ll be coming back for sure !
This was my first time and I have to say I was very impressed. The ambience was absolutely beautiful. The service was great and the food was amazing! I will definitely come again.
My wife and I come here every so often to enjoy good sushi. When my first child was born, we ordered a platter from Somo cause my wife only wanted sushi. Two years later, our 2nd child was born and our entire families were home so we ordered a giant platter from Somo as well as other sides. This last time, the experience was the best. Nino was very welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure our experience was the best. We’re very glad we ordered from here and would definitely recommend it to anybody.

WOW!
My first visit here and I will definitely be returning again! This is an amazing place for sushi! The great experience started as soon as I walked in and was greeted by the owner Nino or formally Elgheryany-San! We talked a little about our shared experiences living in Japan.
The sushi was some of the freshest I have had in a long long time! And the Firecracker roil was beyond awesome! It was so flavorful!
This place is a must visit for anyone in the area!!
So cute. The food was great and so was the service. Will definitely be coming back !!
This place was lovely perfect little atmosphere with cute decorations and mood lighting, comfy with kind people and cool art. delicioussss food, beautiful presentation. thank you !!!!
Best fresh sushi in town
Cool looking place but the food was highest priced low quality sushi I’ve had in Rhode Island so far. Service was not very attentive. Crab meat was fake and didn’t taste good. The high prices made me think I was getting ready for a treat but I’ve had better sushi at the grocery store. I don’t ever leave reviews but the disappointment was just too heavy to carry on my own lol
