I had wanted to try Egusi Stew for the longest time. Finally, I did. OMG. Delicious. I ordered online and it was ready when I got there. I will be going back. Next time to dine in for date night.

I came here on a calm Thursday night and had a great experience. Tried the Egusi with spicy fish for the first time and loved it. The drinks were tasty, and the decor is chic & it has character. The servers were nice. I'll be back to try more from the menu.

The Egusi Soup is amazing. However the Ogbono soup tasted like a bar of soap and it leaves an after taste of soap in your mouth and hands.

I visited Suya not knowing what to expect. Boy, was I surprised. I'm completely ignorant regarding cuisine from this part of Africa but the server was super helpful and very patient with me. I really appreciate that you can choose how hot you want your food. My meal was DELICIOUS. The rice was tasty and the chicken was superb. The sauces tied everything together. Portions were quite generous. The ambiance was quiet and relaxed. The service was fast, amicable, and attentive. Really, I can find no fault with Suya. Go, enjoy a great meal with wonderful service in a pleasant setting.

We enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and the staff. We felt welcome despite our ignorance of the cuisine. Please try it.
So so good. I'm glad I over-ordered because now I've got leftovers in the fridge for lunch!
Incredible food! Love coming to Suya Joint with friends to try new flavors and food experiences together. The wait staff give great recommendations on what to order and try out, so no need to worry if the African menu feels a bit foreign at first. Give it a go! Highly recommend!!
Came here on a whim before a show at PPAC and will definitely return. Our server was helpful and attentive, and made sure to check in on spice level to adjust the order to our tastes. We dined with our kids and they loved being able (and encouraged) to dig in with their hands for the full experience. Especially enjoyed the Jollof rice and plantains.
This was so delicious! It was our first time at an African restaurant and we will be back. We loved the fufu and the ability to try something so new and different.

Incredibly flavorful food and plenty of gluten-free options. Highly recommended!

Casual setting, between diner and sit down. Reservation wasn't needed, but there aren't a ton of seats, so it could fill up on a busy night. Food was flavorful and mostly well cooked. Whole snapper was overcooked, so that was the only disappointment.
Incredible experience! Staff is absolutely wonderful and patient explaining the menu. I got the African Lovers sampler which allowed me to try Egusi and fufu as well as plantains. We also got samosas and my husband tried the Taushe stew (made with peanuts). Everything was so flavorful and had a bit of spice! We ordered mild and our noses were running but it was great :) It was my first time trying Jollof rice and I can't believe I went my whole life without trying it! My meal also came with tres leches cake which was so good and the fresh juices were wonderful. Cannot wait to come back! Thank you so much for the hospitality, Melanie!

My first time in Providence for the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority conference and I had to try Suya Joint! The décor was warm, welcoming, and beautifully reflected the African-inspired theme. The food was flavorful and well-prepared , the beans had a nice little kick of spice, the sweet plantains were perfectly caramelized, and the white rice balanced everything out nicely. The stew was rich and delicious, and the presentation (complete with the little Nigerian flag!) was a thoughtful touch.
A great spot for anyone craving authentic African flavors with a cozy, inviting vibe. I’ll definitely be back!
