The first drink I ordered, “We're out”, so I ordered wine. When I ordered a second glass, again, “We're out”! Out of the dessert I ordered too. Really? Oh, and our table was so wobbly I thought our drinks were going to tip over every time my husband cut a piece of steak! This place would have much better reviews if they kept food & drinks in stock and made the “back room” as inviting as when you walk in the door.

It was extremely busy my food came out cold. Mash was salty by the time my silverware came I couldn't eat my appetizer because my meal came. It was my first time going probably not going back in a rush.

I have been to the Tavolo in Warwick the food was excellent and the service was great. I brought my wife and family members for my wifes birthday dinner to the Tavolo in Providence and was totally surprised at the Poor Service we recieved and cold food we were served. Not to mention the wrong plates were brought out and I was charged for food we never recieved. I would not recommend this restaurant. There are better choices, especially in the area.
Date night with my very pregnant wife. The hostess was very polite and asked where we would like to be seated we preferred to be further from the door so my wife could be comfortable body temperature wise. Our server was prompt explained the specials and made sure our drinks were filled at all times. He did a great job making sure our table wasn't cluttered with dishes which was great considering it was a relatively small table. Over we had a great night.
Food was great, service was fantastic. The ambiance was poor. There are two rooms with distinctly different vibes. The one you enter into is warm and lively but a few steps up in the next room, it seems like they just crammed in some tables in an old restaurant next door. We were sat in what was the old entrance, wedged in front of platform so I couldn't really pull my seat back far. All that was okay, but the table itself was shorter than the average dinning table and sat in our laps, but the real issue was it was incredibly wobbly. Not in a way that could be fixed with a shim, the table top was not secured to the base and we had to balance our drinks. Once we saw that other parties were clearing out we asked to be reseated and our awesome waiter happily obliged and apologized. All that said, it worked out well and we had a great meal. I wish we had been sat in the first room because I think it would have been a 10/10 experience had we.

Seated right away- food and cocktails excellent- our server, her name was Jo, was excellent also- even though it was New Year's Eve and the whole restaurant was bustling she was attentive and very pleasant!!!
We had 16oz rib eye.. Cooked perfect veg. And mashed potato excellent.. Rib eye nice flavor. However very fatty and not as tender as we would have liked. Filet looked delicious..which we probably would of preferred. Would go back and try a pasta dish... Main bartender outstanding!!

Went to dinner with friends here last night. We had made a reservation and arrived about 10 minutes early. We were promptly seated end our server Anthony came over to introduce himself quickly. He was very friendly and got to joking with us right away. The food was delicious and we will be back.

We had a wonderful Experience at Tavolo. How was our waitress and was fun and engaging. We were served a big basket of bread which my teens tucked into! We had generous portions of apps and diners. The food was very good! Only thing bad to say was my dish was supposed to have roasted cipollini onions. And I had sliced crunchy white onions in my dish. We're foodies so when you get a dish for a particular item and it's not in it. Well other than that we loved our meal. Thanks for accommodating our group of 8.

Celebrating my wife's birthday. Wine and food was fabulous.? Anthony was waiting on our table. He was great. He took the time to find some bottles of wine we were excited about trying.
We had a WONDERFUL dinner at Tavolo Providence! They accommodated our party of 10 for a pre-show dinner and beverage. The espresso martinis were strong but smooth! The appetizers were delicious and of good size! The entrees were very savory with our drinking. Bartender Anthony served us up delicious beverages while our waitress Joe was very friendly, knew the menu and entrees, also nice to meet the stores manager Clarissa who was very upbeat and friendly! Great food, atmosphere, people!

Horrific! When we arrived, (party of 5) the waiter offered a glass of a red from a nice bottle he had just opened; we are far from wine experts. When I saw the bill, and asked him why he didn't inform us the high cost ($80 for 2 glasses) he announced to the restaurant, we should've known- We also should have known he added himself a tip without telling us either!

this was our first time in Providence, so we decided to look at Groupon. The restaurant had an attractive Groupon offer. We showed up a bit early for a reservation and they seated us. The restaurant was about half full. The service was a bit slow at first, but then picked up. I ordered an Osso Buco, which was pretty decent and my wife had scallops over risotto, which was good. The prices were a bit steep for the food and the quality of the food so overall we rated this is an average restaurant which we might come back to you.
Pros - our waitress was really nice, food was very good. Con - bar service was terrible. Took 15 minutes to get our cocktails and the explanation was that they are running low on glasses. Never heard that one before. Then we ordered a bottle of wine with our entrees... surprisingly the glasses came right away but took 20 minutes to get the bottle. We were almost done eating when it finally came.
