The BEST Italian sandwich. You won’t regret it. Pesto pasta salad and sweet treats are bomb too

A spin off of the Sandwich Hut on Fed Hill, this nice little sandwich shop serves a smaller version of the original location’s menu with the same high-quality ingredients. Every sandwich I’ve gotten here has been great, and for a small menu they have a pretty varied selection. I’m an especially big fan of their Italian grinders.Service has also been top notch every time I’ve came and although it feels a little pricey for a sandwich, everywhere does these days. Their large sandwiches are also very filling, I rarely take leftovers from places but have always had to get the second half to go. Unfortunately their hours are a bit limited, but if your schedule lines up it’s definitely worth a visit!

Over the past couple years, I've been spending an increasing amount of time in Providence. My partner, who lives here, has been dutifully playing tour guide, and showing me all the best spots. It's been long enough now that I felt like I had the lay of the land, and pretty much knew all of the best places to eat. Until we stopped into The Hut for lunch the other day. Before I even took the first bite, I shot a look at her and demanded to know- "Why have you never taken me here before?" I'd ordered the muffuletta. "Small or large?" the friendly waitress asked. A large, of course. I have a pretty big appetite, and we were just about to hit the road to Maine for a few hours. As soon as I was handed my sandwich, I knew what my dinner plans were. Had I ordered a party size by mistake? Where did they even find a ciabatta roll this big? Did they need a wheelbarrow to bring in the olive tapenade for this sandwich alone? No exaggeration, I think it was the biggest sandwich I'd ever seen. Of course, quantity doesn't necessarily mean quality, but that was not an issue here. It was also one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. We took our sandwiches to go, but next time I think I'll settle into to one of the tables in this cozy little spot to dine in. They also have a nice patio out back for when it warms up. To my new best friends at The Hut- thanks for blowing my mind. You'll be seeing me again soon.

What an incredibly cute spot to eat some well crafted sandwiches! Completely stumbled on this gem due to a detour, but will be going out of my way to come back!!

Seemingly out of nowhere this place pops up. They make everything fresh for you so count on a good 15 to 20-minute wait after you order. But it does not disappoint. My wife and I loved our sandwiches. And the woman at the counter was kind and

Great sandwiches and lots of vegetarian options. I love the little pick up window, makes it so easy to take out.

I got the turkey blt with sriracha mayo, it was delicious! Voodoo chips that are bbq AND salt & vinegar…I think they are my new favorite. I also tried the double chocolate chip cookie that the kind person who cashed me out suggested. 10/10

The food is ok but takes way too long. I waited my whole lunch break for a turkey sub. The sandwiches are expensive for what they are. Bread is basic and cold cuts were a bit dry.

Pretty much an over priced Jimmy John's sandwich. Decent, but not mind blowing, and definitely not worth the premium price. Much better Italian grinders for less in the city. Also, wait time was incredibly long for a sandwich shop - took about 20 minutes for two sandwiches.
