Went here with my friends after telling them it was the best coffee I ever had. Unfortunately the coffee was not nearly as good as the ones I had at the Newport locations. The coffee had a bitter after taste. The employees here also were not as friendly
First time seeing a long line for a place in Providence. 30 minute wait… but it was worth it. We got the famous Caramelized Banana latte and the Strawberry matcha, and both were fantastic.
Caramelized Banana Latte – Had a banana milk latte I loved last week, so I was curious how this would compare. This ended up being one of the best flavored lattes I’ve had in recent memory. The syrup was sweet but complex—layered with two distinct types of bitterness: a toasty edge from the caramelization and a smooth, lingering bitterness from the nitro shot. That tiny shot really stood out in terms of quality. Will definitely come back just for their nitro cold brew.
Strawberry Matcha – Always a fan of MEM Tea matcha, and they used it well here. What made it special was the reduced milk ratio, which allowed the matcha to stand out a bit more without being drowned in creaminess. The result was a much cleaner aftertaste, more like an iced tea than a milk-heavy latte. After trying the best matcha of my life at 12 Matcha last week, I wasn’t sure this would impress me, but I’m glad I gave it a shot.
Pesto Smash – Hard to go wrong with a Pesto, cheese, and tomato on a breakfast sandwich. Just wish the bread had been toasted a bit more for extra texture. Still very satisfying.

The coffee and food is outstanding, but the shop is extremely uncomfortable. They took away the tables so now there are just barstools at a tiny bar top that the line runs in front of. It's absolutely NOT a place to hang out for any period of time, whether meeting up with someone or hoping to get some work done. I'm pregnant and couldn't even get up on the barstools so I just ordered coffee to go even though I really wanted a breakfast sandwich - just didn't have a spot to eat it.

-1 star just because it *is* a little on the pricey side but the drinks were delicious. I ordered a sea salt maple matcha that exceeded my expectations. The banana pudding was also delicious. Will be driving down from MA soon to visit again!!!!

I placed a mobile order for food and coffee and arrived on time for pickup. My order was not at the bar, so I waited at the stools. After ten minutes, I politely asked the person at the register for help. Their response was unnecessarily curt. They immediately questioned when I had placed the order and then told me to check the shelves by the window. I did. Nothing was there. I continued waiting. Another customer walked in, ordered in person, and received their drink and left before I ever received my mobile order. My drink eventually came out, but my food was still missing. I asked at the food counter and was told they were out of bagels. I had to change my order with zero acknowledgment or apology. There was no explanation, no accountability, and no empathy from the staff throughout the entire interaction. Reviews on Google mention similar issues: poor handling of mobile orders and consistently rude service. As someone who has been loyal because I genuinely love Nitro’s coffee and food, it’s disappointing that basic customer service and communication have declined this much. I want this feedback to be taken seriously because I’d like to continue supporting Nitro, but it should not feel like a battle every time I walk in.

i've truly never had a bad experience here! every single time, without fail, i am greeted by kind and happy faces- that i have grown to love! if its not the fabulous lattes and treats, it is the people i keep going for, although the lattes are of course a close second hehe truly grateful to have a spot like this around! they also are very community involved!

Overrated!!!! The wait is not worth it and the drinks are just mediocre. The wait for the food on the weekends is 35 minutes. I wont go back there!!

Visiting from Nashville and I’ve been so excited to try nitro bar! Like most, I found them on TikTok and I was not disappointed. I had the avocado toast and it was incredible and then I had the whipped salted maple latte w oat milk (insane). The baristas were so friendly, and as someone who worked in coffee for a few years, I know how stressful the job can be!! They were all crushing it!! It’s a little small inside, but plenty of outside seating. Will definitely be coming back 🤍

I came here once before and got a matcha and have to say that I was a bit disappointed—it was very milky. I came back and tried the chai, however, and it was fantastic. I love that it was on tap, very quirky. I also got the smash sandwich on a plain bagel and it was great, lots of good flavors and a good lunch. The seating is a little awkward because they only have counter spaces and it’s a a tight squeeze but there’s lots of outdoor seating for the warmer weather.
