I arrived early for my table and understood I had to wait. We got seated early but to a table but it was assigned to no server. I waited 20 mins before I asked the hostess if I had to order for myself. When the server arrived it was as if I was bothering her. I had planned to eat dinner but decided to only have a single drink and move onto another establishment.

Large group of railroaders (active and retired) who traditionally meet in Boston showed up for lunch on a late Monday morning. Our server was absolutely outstanding throughout despite a supply issue making them unable to fulfill a few orders. Everyone was satisfactorily accommodated and our waitress never faltered.
The food was very good as was the beer. The service, however, 10 out of 5! The consensus among the group was that a new tradition has been established.

3.7 rounded up. Good beers in comfortable bar with friendly service. Beers (porter) were good. The Bloody Mary was not good. I asked for spicy which should have meant more hot sauce but instead got more horseradish which makes it bitter. The tomato juice that they used was not sour or sweet. They might have used great local ingredients but the mix was not good. The burger was average. The large portioned fish and chips was pretty good although the tartar sauce could have used more pickle juice or lemon juice. The service was top notch and the pub atmosphere was like a pair of comfortable jeans. Jan 2025

Our server, "Bree from Boston"!was spot on. Attentive, efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. Other server guy checked on us. Making sure we didn't get ignored. The host was super efficient, too. French dip steak ordered cooked "to temp."

As an out of towner, I was looking for a local spot for beer and light fare and this was a great choice. We each ordered a 6 beer flight for $18 (perfect price point) and salad, clam chowder. Good good, tasty, enjoyable.
It was a Friday around 6:30 pm and it was not loud haha. Love that part!
Vegetarian options: The mixed salad was very good!
