My boyfriend and I just experienced the 6 course meal tonight and it was a treat! I loved the experience and everything tasted great! Owner has great communication! And we loved how it was all family working together.

We sat down at the bar and proceeded to have a great evening. The food and pace of consumption was delicious and the experience was memorable. Pricing was good. Small nit, the waitress had trouble opening wine bottles which seems to be a key part of the dining experience. Highly recommended.

Food are mediocre. Nothing too special. Yet overpriced. About ~70 dollars per person. Most importantly, they don't even have their own restroom. My friends and I had to go to the Eddy's, a bar across the street, for restroom ??!! Unbelievable!

What a fabulous dining experience. Creative chef, delicious food! The staff was a small group of very accommodating professionals. BYOB makes it a great value!

Holy crap! Best meal ever. No wrong choices. Just get here. Owner is accommodating as all heck and the chef is inspiring. Don't let the simple ambience fool you. Great food is happening here.

Dinner was amazing. They were able to accommodate us for a last minute reservation (literally 15 minutes before their last seating) & they over-delivered. My husband & I usually don't attempt coursed dinners since they tend to be stuffy & arent great for picky eaters.

Went here in a suggestion. It is BYOB. Food was different, but great! It's a father and son team that have a set menu of things you might not normally think of trying(that's what made it fun). It is a bit expensive, considering that you are bringing the wine/drink. And the bathrooms are in another building?!? But if you want a unique, and romantic dinner, Vinya is worth a shot.

As a resident of the San Francisco Bay Area for the past almost 40 years I think I have witnessed the emergence of contemporary dining at its source. But since we have had the good fortune to send our son to college in Providence it has been on our visits to him each of the last four years that we have had the best tasting experience of our lives! Rosmarin at Vinya is brought to us by a father and son of direct Swiss origin who understand great food empirically- each dish is a work of culinary art. I don't feel the need to recommend any dish over the other. This last trip in May '19 I think he was mostly offering a set tasting menu but my wife who has been vegetarian for 50 years was given a totally different and wonderful tasting (I know because I managed to peck a bite!) My son's more of a gourmand than either of us (cooked Thanksgiving live Lobster Thermidor from 2 recipes in a friend's kitchen at age 12) and he starts to buzz when we get close to this wonderful Westminster St restaurant. We like to sit at the bar to watch the food prepared and talk to the chefs when possible ; but there's great people watching on this fun street from all seats. This year we reserved from California and the owner sent us photos of our seats for our approval. Other years we have chosen individual items to our taste. It's Tapas style with the occasional palette cleanser. Pretty spendy yes, but it holds its place as the best eating experience of our lives!

Very small intimate place with excellent food and service. The pictures say it all in regard to the food. The owner of the restaurant takes care of the customers with undivided attention. You will be happy with this place if you are looking for inspired original creations.

Stopped in after seeing a show at PPAC. They were reservation only and on a prefix menu, but the owner graciously told us it was not busy yet and we could pick out some tapas and try some things. He sent us next door to get a bottle of wine and I couldn't have been more happy he did. The food was amazing. I'm usually a picky eater but he helped us pick out a few items and they were so gooodd!!! Will definitely be back!!!

My wife and I had our 27th anniversary, 12-course tasting dinner here. Such a special, romantic place for a most special wife and person! Owner and chef Massimiliano waited on us most attentively, with true European quality service. Food was artfully prepared by the owner's son Stefano, also a chef, in the open kitchen, which the seating surrounds. We ate whatever was prepared that day, each dish a complete surprise. (They do have a daily menu for selecting your dishes, but we wanted an experience.) Not one dish disappointed. Every plate was a creation of beauty, perfectly complementing flavors and differing textures. Culinary perfection in the heart of Providence! We will be back.

Try the tasting menu, try sitting at the japanese style counter and interacting with the chef.
