VL Restaurant and Lounge

I recently visited VL Lounge for a High Society RI event and was pleasantly surprised over the transformation into a vibrant entertainment hub and an extra layer of excitement from the crowd present. It's not just a place to savor exquisite dishes like the Taquitos and Teriyaki Skewers; it's an immersive experience that turns a regular evening into a memorable hookah filled celebration.

Went for my sister birthday 2/16/24 was very disappointed ?! The place was very blue which I loved and clean, they had good music. Both of us ordered the Peruvian steak the rice wasn't cooked, steak was dried,unseasoned, no tastes at all, my sister ask to switch her steak with an appetizer we were told that they would take 50% of the steak and we would still pay full price for the appetizer...... WHAT!!!!!. I ordered the coconut shrimp which I liked the coconut shrimp was good! Now for our drinks (that's where I was very disappointed) I ordered the good vibe margarita (mango) it wasn't all that barely taste the mango in that drink, my sister got the tropical drink felt like she was drinking juice?. I ordered a second drink which was a mango lemon drop MY FAVORITE DRINK, our waitress brought me straight up lemon, I simply asked her to take it back and bring me the check. I mean we saw the place on ig decided to try it. Overall the coconut shrimp was good, music was good and place looks nice! we went to OURS and had a BLAST!!!!!!!!!!

Appetizer and food arrived at the same time. For dinner I got Peruvian steak med well… It wasn’t Med well, it was hard dry tasteless, fries were cold, rice undercooked. I asked if I can change it for appetizer, waitress came back and said I would only get a percentage from the 1st meal and I would have to pay full price for the appetizer. Drinks finally arrived 45min later. The appetizer that my sister got was good (coconut shrimp). If I go back probably will be never I would only get appetizers. Music and atmosphere was great.

Came for my birthday in the end of Nov around 9or so with very few people in it..I ordered espresso martini which wasn't the best didn't even have a foam head on it. What made the night even better was the last of the bag Calamari rings I received. Mostly breading and massive amount of oil in the bowl.. it was pretty disappointing to be honest.

They were really nice and welcoming. What I really enjoyed was requesting a song and them actually playing it.

Made a reservation for a party of 9. We got seated on time for our reservation, but we were not greeted until 30 mins of sitting down. Finally after being greeted we were able to put in our drinks which took another 30 minutes to make. Then finally after about 20 minutes of waiting we put our orders in.Once our orders were in we waited more than an hour for our food to be made only for the orders to be messed up, soggy, and over cooked. Not only did it take 1 hr for three meals to be made, we waited an hour and a half for our server to finally tell us that they had ran out of one orders. It had taken the kitchen to communicate to our server 1hr and 30 mins that they did not have what we ordered.When we had gone to speak to a manager it took another 20 mins to finally be able to speak to the manager. Once we had spoken to the manager, who promised to take the food off the tab with a discount on the drinks we received, we waited another 30 minutes to finally receive the final tab. Mind you, there were only four tables that had been seated at this point. Then once we finally received the bill there was no discount as promised, we paid full price for drinks despite waiting an extremely long wait time.I understand how miscommunications happen when opening the restaurant, but the lack of communication from the upper staff is insanely unprofessional. I would suggest going here for drinks, and bar food, but if you are looking for drinks a good vibe, and food then look somewhere else. I wish this “restaurant” the next of luck, but there need to be major improvements made. As someone who worked in hospitality and food service, communication with the customer is the most important aspect when there are issues between the kitchen and the service staff.
