It's very tough to give a review when the restaurant has been closed!! I made a reservation on OpenTable for days out I got an email asking me to confirm my reservation one day out I got a text message to text them but I was still going. And when my wife and I got there the restaurant was closed with a padlock on the door!! Obviously open table did not know the restaurant was closed, the owners on website said they were open. Very disgusted with how this all went down. Somebody has to take responsibility and tell somebody anybody that the restaurant is closed whether that be the owners or open table.

3 stars on the margaritas, service and cold saggy chips with restaurant depot bottle salsa! Saw the sign driving by and it looked really cool so we went in with the family. My first red flag was Penne allá vodka!! Look around and asked myself is this Italian or Mexican?? We got water right away in plastic cups which is not a big deal, but order juices for my kids (2 and 5 yo) and they were served in a 12oz glass ($4) the margarita was so small, made with Jose Cuervo (cheap tequila) not strong and got charge $14. We got chips and salsa on the house. But they were cold and saggy.. I didn't feel safe to let my kids eat that and I wasn't sure about eating there so we paid for two cranberry juice and a margarita and left

Went last night ( Friday) and I was surprised this place was not busier! Hidden gem of RI? Looooved our waiter he clearly enjoys his job and all the staff was happy, laughing, having a good time. The drinks are little pricey but delicious! The food was beautifully put together and delicious ( try the churros OMG sooo good) we sat out side and it was so nice… the inside is beautiful - loved the vibe and the DJ was playing some GREAT music- Very clean- I feel like this place is going to be very popular once more people learn about it. 5/5 will be back! -

First of all the drinks and the service are outstanding. I heard that the food had changed since Covid and sadly it's true, the food has gone down hill. I was disappointed with the food I ate and won't be going back again.

Cute place to catch up with friends or quick girls' night out. The food and service were good - servers are very attentive and give recommendations. The music was awesome wanted to get out of my seat and dance. Not too loud and not trendy club hits. Just right for me even my 17 yr old daughter was dancing in her seat. I read other reviews where they said the music was SOO LOUD; it depends on the person you are and what you are looking for in a place. If you want less of the music you can sit outside under the tents and away from the LOUDNESS. Will attend again. Thanks and keep up the good service.

Music is WAY too loud for dinner at 6:30pm at night. More like a club scene for someone in their early 20's. I asked for outdoor seating in my reservation request and the hostess tried to sit us indoors where the music was LOUDER than outside. Service was extremely slow and we had to ask for chips and salsa. We were not drinking alcohol this night and we were never offered refills on our drinks or water. Calamari was over cooked and there was barley any sauce on top, we asked for more on the side to make it edible. Our dinner took about 1.5hours to come out. Luckily, everything was DELICIOUS!. Maybe consider hiring an extra waitstaff for dinner service and dropping the unnecessary DJ.

The music was so loud you could not have a conversation, we felt like we were at a night club, we asked to move tables from inside to outside due to to the loud music and did not help. The drinks were all water down, the margaritas was like drinking lemonade. We ordered appetizers, it took about an hour for the apps to come out, now mind you it was not that busy. The queso blanco was not melted cheese was like they poured milk on a plate and warmed it up was gross. We also ordered calamari frito they bought us the wrong one, we got the calamari Lola, the calamari was frozen calamari you could tell from the texture and taste. At that point we did not even eat the apps, did not order entrees paid for the drinks and food we did not eat and went elsewhere for dinner. It was our first time there and I was very excited to go try it out, but unfortunately to disappointed to ever go back.

First of all…Michelle was amazing! I would go back any time and request her for her great personality and attentiveness to all her guests. She was busy and still made time for everyone!! She was on top of keeping the drinks coming and I did not have to ask her for anything—she was top notch. Jose was also amazing at communicating with me via social media and making sure we could get in! Kudos to Lola’s—make sure you visit!

Great service. The tacos were hands down the best tacos I have had in a while. My wife had the calamari and she didn't eat them because she said they were very greasy. The server notice and told us he wouldn't add it to our bill.

Gothic atmosphere, Live DJ plays today's pop hits. Margaritas are decent but WAY over priced! $45 a pitcher!! Menu overall is over priced. Food selection is very minimal but they made decent choices for what they chose to offer. Excellent Calamari! They don't have regular mayonnaise, just garlic aoli. I visited around 8:30pm. On a Friday.I believe later it turns into a hip hop, bumping, club. Unsure if that has changed. I doubt I will return.

Margaritas tasted like they had no tequila...how do you now have Sav Blanc white wine on menu? And tableside guacamole means someone come tablesidr and makes it in front of you!...and having italian food items on a Mexican menu is just strange!

There's no redeeming part of this restaurant or our experience. We were excited to have a new Mexican place in the area and the atmosphere looked great. We went on a Friday night and expected it to be busier. There was a DJ playing music, which we should have realized meant that they needed a draw for patrons because the food wasn't good. Still, we gave it a pass and wanted to try something new. We sat at the bar next to some lively patrons, not in a good way. The bartenders took shots with them and were all drinking themselves. We got chips and salsa and we were informed that it was the last chips (they ran out of chips at a Mexican restaurant at 8pm?). The chips we got were half burnt. we ordered some margaritas and it tasted like tequila and toilet water - not the expectation for $15ish a pop. We got a burrito and tacos - the burrito was cut in half and presented as if it were a wrap, was bland and was missing ingredients (while including extra unwanted ingredients) and the tacos were filled with tough bland meat - both meals in their entirety lacked flavor. Always depressing when the best part of a meal at a Mexican restaurant was the surprise French fries that came on the side of the burrito/wrap. $80 for essentially a bad sandwich, bad tacos, two toilet flavored margaritas, and burnt chips. Lesson learned for us - If we see penne alla vodka as a main entree at a Mexican restaurant, we'll pass on it.

Birthday dinner with friends at Lola's. The staff and service i'd give 4.5 stars, the food 3 (only because apps were good, if not i'd say a 2); I didn't drink but my friends complained all the drinks were very watered down. We has calamari for apps, one of each kind, not sure the names. One had some sort of sweet chili sauce on it; it was great! The other was ok, kind of bland. I ordered a Cesar salad with added shrimp. I'm not sure what I'd call the salad they gave me but it was not Cesar and didn't match menu description. There were 3 shrimps on it and cost me $22. The staff was great, super friendly, quick service. My friends were a little wild and joking around but the staff didn't mind. The restaurant itself is very nice, great ambience and decor. There was even a dj; we were told normally Saturdays are packed but since its a holiday weekend there were only couple tables. Overall fun night with the girls but i don't think i will go back to Lola's.

It felt very chaotic in there, almost as if no one had worked in a restaurant before. We didn't find the experience enjoyable at all. When I asked what was in the items I was ordering no one could tell me and had to go back to the kitchen to find out. Then it was described to me incorrectly and I wasn't able to enjoy my dinner. I sat at the bar and watched a bar back fill a Stoli bottle with Tito's vodka. That is not only illegal but in poor taste to do it right in the open in front of patrons. I would suggest telling them not to do that anymore.
