I was fortunate enough to get a job here in 1996, when I was a sophomore at Bryant. Not only is the food amazing, I've been longing for it for years, tried to recreate a couple dishes myself. These people were my family when I was away from mine. Been gone for 18 years and still miss all of it and them every day. went back last year for a tournament at Bryant with my daughter, they still have every Christmas card I ever sent them of my children over the years hanging on the wall. Nothing says Family like that! Love and miss you all!

Pleasant place but a bar that serves food, perhaps a diner at best. No lobster, just lobster roll, limited offerings. Food was average, scallops tasted like fishy pencil erasers. "Stuffed" shrimp was ok but got 2, 1 was not fully peeled scrod small but ok. For a $25 "Seafood platter" I expected a bit more. If you are looking for real seafood go someplace else. Nice place, just not as the write-up described.

I met some friends that drove in for the football game at Bryant.We had lunch first then cruised onto campus for the game. The Bartender/Server behind the bar was fantastic. Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. Parente's rocked!!

Parente’s has been in business since 1983. Unfortunately, the restaurant looks like it was last updated in 1983. Three of us dined there on 7/28 - at mid-afternoon, there were a few other diners in the restaurant and several others in the bar.
Baked scrod was deemed very good. Nice big portion, came with two sides (in this case, steamed broccoli and fries). Diner ate it all and said she was satisfied.
Chicken piccata was also deemed good. Diner chose linguine and garlic bread. The dish came loaded with capers.
I ordered chicken parmigiana with linguine. Started with a cup of chicken soup which was very good. But the chicken parm was awful. I received penne, not the linguine I had ordered, but at that point I didn’t want to send it back. The chicken was dried out, the breading was mostly black and fell off the chicken, the sauce had no flavor. It was mostly inedible.
Because we were celebrating my sister’s birthday, I held back, but truly, it was not a good meal.
I wish this restaurant well, but we’ll never be back.

Steamers smelled off. Side salad was a few pieces of lettuce and onion. Prime rib was more than half fat, which was inedible. We have always loved this place and recommended it. Not sure what happened.

Ok, so the best white clam chowda! The 2 nd night I got the $.50 (10x) wings the next day and the single serve pizza, which was big enough to feed me lunch the next day! Watched the 2nd round of the Masters @ the bar and had some great conversation with the bartender staff friendly and patient to say the least, lots of young students in that Thursday night made the 4 in atmosphere, but Tuesdays are better no doubt!
