With its name, I was expecting a real NY-style steakhouse but The Chophouse is really just your average American food joint. Big bar, sports on tv, well-worn kind of ambiance. The menu runs the gamut from buffalo wings to pad Thai! This ain't Gallaghers or Peter Lugers! 3 of us went for lunch; I had filet tip sandwich - excellent, sister had fish and chips - very good, nephew had pulled pork-inedible. I tried it and spit it out. I told the waiter and he basically thanked me but kept it on the bill. Might come back but - meh.

This place is worth the drive from Providence. Everything I have ordered from here has been excellent. Fresh and good portions staff is second to none very accommodating and attentive. Filet mignon to fish and chips 5 stars ⭐️

Went for prime rib... Not on the menu had to ask...oh, a special that night...great...asked for rare, it was...BUT 1/4 of it was a huge blob of fat/ gristle - not appetizing to look at and at $44 that means $11 was a blob of fat.

The Chop House Grill has been our go-to place every week for years. We went again tonight and sat at the bar to eat and interact with James Tsai, our favorite bartender and server. He is a true expert at his job, and is frequently observed training new waitstaff. He gave us perfect service as always. A newer member of the staff is Max, whom we also enjoy dealing with. Both are ideal representatives of the Chop House Grill. Kudos! I wish that we could give 10 stars to "the Chop" and these amazing people.
Bartender James is always amazing. His drinks are perfect. He is the main reason we frequent Chophouse. Buff tenders and filet great. Max was also very friendly and nice to chat with.

Freshly bake bread served with cinnamon butter ? Our favorite food are medium rare ribeye steak, half rack spare ribs and duck! Chophouse is our favorite restaurant when we come to visit our grandson who is a sophomore at URI!

Seriously, we love this place! The food is delicious, and there's quite a variety to choose from. The drinks are great, too. But what keeps us coming back almost every week is the staff. James is an awesome bartender, and this week Max was there, too. Good food, good drinks, and good people - what more could you want?
The warm complimentary bread along with the cinnamon butter was the best part of my time spent here. Will definitely return. P.S Excellent service!

Solid but a little pricey. My wife and i took the kids for dinner, I had a steak with sides which my wife ate together with a bowl of soup and my kids ordered off of the kids menu, with three adult drinks and basically two kids orders and an adult order the bill came to $170..

The waitress Julianne should get a raise. She is very sweet, pleasant, and made sure our drinks where always full. I truly appreciate good service.

Honestly almost everything in this place is great. The food, the service the pricing etc. My only pet peeve is that they removed those amazing empanadas from their menu which I was only just made aware of today. That was by far the best item on their menu and the best I’ve ever had. We regularly made the trek from Providence (which has more restaurants per capita than any other city in America) to Wakefield just for those empanadas. There is no reason for us to dine here anymore. Y’all need to get that culinary equivalent to crack back on the menu!
