“Our second stop on our Saturday Taco crawl took us to Maiz. The shop was decked out for the Halloween season. Inside the place reminds you of a Mexican cantina. Brightly colored flags adorning the ceiling contrasted the sand colored wall. Our server was very nice, letting us know what our options were for the fight. I chose to upgrade mine to pastor tacos as they are my favorite type. My friends got a Birria taco, a shrimp taco and the carnitas taco. It didn't take long before our food arrived. Fresh and hot, we quickly dived in. The pastor was flavorful, a slight char taste that made the whole thing sing a symphony for my taste buds. The shrimp taco was particularly good as well. The shrimp was succulent and the addition of the pineapple took it to the next level. The Birria meat was tender and juicy. The carnitas was a solid choice as well. Their homemade hot sauce, mild or spicy, on the side. All washed down with ice cold Mexican coke. Another taco spot in the books as a place to return. We only live 9 minutes away so it's a sure thing for us!”

“Spicy ramen was legit spicy (yay!) simple ramen was flavorful (soy, scallion, sesame, sticky), mayo mushroom rice ball was tingly without being overwhelming. Staff was delightfully accommodating and answered all of our questions.”

The craft beer that is better than you find at other brew pubs. Awesome variety. I left my phone there and management was incredibly helpful in coordinating a time for me to pick it up. “I have been going to Applebee's for years now . I went for Veterans Day as I am a Veteran . I ordered a burger , it was fantastic. Service was excellent, it was extremely busy the the restaurant was full of fellow Veterans it was nice to see . Thank you Applebee's for treating us to a free meal to honor us .”

“My family and I had heard a lot about this new restaurant in South Kingston. On a very cold winter night, we decided to give it a try. The atmosphere was so very cozy, and gave one a “ Cheers” neighborhood tavern feeling!
Our food was brought out in a timely fashion. We were not looking for fancy or high-end food, but this menu was fun and hit the spot! It was just what we were looking for, we were totally made to feel welcomed! This will certainly be on one of our stops for St. Patrick’s Day!🍀🍀”

“We stopped in here randomly on our way to the Farmer’s Daughter Fall Festival. It was such a good experience it’s now part of our tradition. Our girls remembered, a year later, how much they enjoyed it. Allie’s has great food and service. And it starts at the top. The owner takes a lot of pride in the place . While we were there he came out and asked everyone if we were enjoying the food. And before I left he shook my hand and remembered who I was (from a year ago). The place is adjacent to a college campus (I went to URI so I found it reminiscing as I drove thru) so you might not think of it for a meal out with your family. But you should. And the prices are really fair for the portions you get. This is a business we need to support. We WILL return. At least once a year and more if possible.”

“For over 6 years I have been coming to this location. By far the best in Rhode Island... Many crew members are TOP NOTCH!! They know me by name and order! During the pandemic they went above and beyond and kept everyone safe. Lately new staff has been slipping up, messing up orders, slow times which is understandable. Today I placed a mobile order like I do daily. I’m on a PM shift on Thursday so I mis my normal morning crew. I walk in and all the mobile orders are piled up on the counter (3) new people I’ve never seen. A girl walks over to assist another customer and turns her back to walk away (clearly she saw me waiting) I ask to grab mine she slightly turns and responds with “it’s not ready” I could tell my lone coffee was ready I could see my name 🤦🏼‍♀️ she walks away and starts ringing at the register... A young man walked over and asked my name I told him then proceeded to ask her name and I was spoken to rudley, said she’s the manger.. no she’s not I know the manager I asked again and again she finally screamed her name half way across the tiny restaurant... uncalled for. Never in 6 years has ANYONE spoken to me like that or treated me like that from this location :( I’ll make sure to stick with my friendly upbeat morning crew... From a manager perspective I think regional and the store manager should reconsider who they are leaving in charge in the afternoon. Someone really needs a training on customer service and kidness”
