It looks like you are rolling up to a house you might be killed in, but you just find out it has great bread

I bought a loaf of Hunny White intending to use it for sandwiches or something, but I ended up just ripping hunks off of it for snacks because it was so delicious lol!!!

I stumbled upon this place on the way to Trustom Pond. There is a flag hanging on the corner that says open and a little sign that says Daddy's Bread. I was immediately intrigued. I returned the next morning and found a parking lot filled with cars, a room with no employees, but filled with customers, loaves of bread, and other tasty looking pastries. I got some cinnamon rolls and a loaf of cinnamon raisin. There was also an icing station so you can add as much icing as you'd like (or put it in a plastic container to go). Nice touch.
Everything was so good, I returned again the next morning and got the Honey White bread. I really wish I had bought more. This is honey white is heavenly. I could eat this every day. If I could get them to ship, I'm ordering!
The place works on the honor system. Take what you want, pay what you owe by either dropping cash in the slot or PayPal or Venmo.
I wish I lived closer to Daddy's Bread.

Went to Daddy's Bread during our family trip from Canada, and it was incredible!
The bread is fresh, with many varieties to choose from. The honor system for purchasing adds a charming Rhode Island touch to the experience, making it feel like you're part of this tight-knit community. It's a must-visit for anyone in the area. Highly recommended!
Cheers!

Quirky little place. Love the vegan bread assortment. System is still the same. Johnny’s Bread seems to be very popular. Bread is $8 a loaf and you can pay via Venmo. Check their Facebook to confirm they are open.
Phenomenal place! So unique, so good!
Stopped and got the Parmesan dill garlic and it was fabulous. Also got the apple cinnamon and had a slice of that for breakfast this morning with butter and it was also fabulous. I don’t know what I’m have to stay away from first but it’s going to be dangerous and not pretty.

Amazing homemade bread!
What a gem! A small bakery open on the weekends offering South County wonderful breads. It took me far too long to visit here as a SoCo resident, but I’m hooked! I tried the Chive and Onion and the Raisin this past weekend. Beautiful golden raisins! Scrumptious! A wide variety of selections. And farm fresh eggs.
This place is a landmark in Matunuck and one of it's hidden treasures. They have an assortment of fresh baked breads ranging from sweet to savory. It will at times have other baked offerings like beach buns ( cinnamon rolls ) or Huggy Bears ( frosted carrot cake squares) etc ... You pay by the honor system and drop your money in a slot or pay by Venmo/cash app. Loaves are $8 and the other goods vary but worth every penny. Check them out.
Amazing bread and cinnamon buns.
