Coming from Europe, I found this place's notion of an espresso quite bizarre -- and expensive. Extremely strong, aggressive flavor, rather like Starbucks'. A single espresso was $4.11 and was served to me in a cup big enough to hold a pint.

Well I did order a bagel but it wasn't toasted I have no idea why. Coffee was okay the tea was all right I wasn't that happy with the food the music was good and I was sick with some friends so I made up for the food.

A hidden gem! I love Java Maddness and its location! The back deck overlooking the marina is a quiet and lovely.

Great tasting Coffee, had the Blueberry Scone, very nice and sitting out on the deck overlooking the marina, finished the whole experience. Will definitely return when next in the area.

What a cute little coffee shop! My husband and I had some time to kill and wanted some coffee so we stopped in here and had a great experience. We sat at a table with a checker board and pieces to play and had a great time.

Rude service. Dirty.

Used to love this place, unfortunately been a customer for 10+ years and extremely disappointed. Iced coffee is hit or miss - more often a miss. Waited 15 min for a BEC on croissant - which would’ve been totally acceptable except for the fact that my croissant looks like it was punched, skimpy amount of food on it and the bacon was FREEZING. I’m not talking “luke warm” barely warmed …. It was ice cold.

The staff could not have been ruder. The girl at the counter seemed annoyed that she had to take my orders - sorry for the service and tip! NONE of the staff was using gloves or washing their hands just wiping it on their shirts. Food contamination 101. Basically threw my croissant at me and when I said “thank you” it was returned with a dirty look and “yup” while she was walking away.

Java I’ve loved you for a long time but I sadly will not be back.

Really nice deck with view on the marina.
Ordered a bunch of coffees and pastries - they have a limited amount of pastries (which is good as they probably avoid throwing out unsold food this way) but that means you need to get there early to make sure you have a good choice. They also had fruit salads.

Every employee I’ve ever encountered here has been amazing! So so kind and great vibes. The coffee blows me away every time and the food is quite good as well :)

Very solid. The coffees can be inconsistent which is my only knock. Food is pretty good. Beautiful view of the water with a typically great staff.

Had an egg, tomato, and provolone egg tart and it was great. Coffee is good, not new wave, but drinkable - but the location on the water is unbeatable.
