We were driving through Rhode Island and remembered the excellent dinners we had at Matunuk oyster bar a few years ago. Decided to stop in for lunch and found out about the fire- but the new set up was great and the food as good as ever!
A very enjoyable afternoon under the Matunuck Oyster Bar tent! 🎪 Beautiful atmosphere - the tent is very pretty, nice furniture, 2 marble topped bars and floral decorations make it seem like a permanent restaurant. There is only valet parking right now and thankfully the young men know how to drive stick shift (to my surprise!). We started with some steamers and some Matunuck raw Oysters. Made the hour and a half drive from CT last Sunday to relive the experience of savoring one of the best lobster rolls I've had when I visited for the first time on a work trip last year. It was just as good as I remembered. Staff was extremely accommodating and the food and drinks came quicker than expected given how busy they were. This place is an absolute gem.
