Pokemoto in South County Commons is hands-down one of the BEST poke spots I’ve ever been to! The staff is always super friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit such a fun experience. I love that they’re open until 8:00 every night—some of the other poke places around aren’t open that late, which is pretty upsetting when you’re craving it for dinner. And to top it all off, they even offer student discounts for URI students. It’s one of my go-to spots.

Very sad to leave this review because I loved this place when it first opened. Tonight was a very different situation. The young man working tonight was exceptional despite the fact he continuously had to apologize for items being out of stock, mixed greens, corn to name a few. He was getting low on many other items and hopefully there were replacements. He was also working alone and manning the food stations as well as the register since the other co worker called out sick. Despite this he maintained a pleasant attitude. Finally, the credit/debit machine was not functioning properly and he needed to explain and apologize to each patron. I truly empathized. The owner needs to rectify these issues and hopefully does so before others leave a poor review.

I’ve been a sushi and poke lover for a while. We catch and eat our own tuna so I’ve gotten picky when it comes to freshness. However all the ingredients here are very fresh. Each thing the chef makes is carefully constructed and comes out amazing.
Found out about pokemoto a few weeks ago and now it’s my go to spot! The food is amazing and the service is great. We had ordered ahead for pickup this week for the first time and there was an issue with their system so they didn’t receive our order. The staff made sure they made our order ASAP and handled the situation perfectly. Great customer service and great food!

I decided to get the large and I was definitely full and even kept some leftovers to snack on later. The quality of food is pretty good, I was especially a fan of the larger cuts of salmon provided. The person behind the counter was super nice and helpful while taking care of me as well! The dining room is clean and was pleasant to eat in. I came in awhile ago and got a matcha bubble tea and that was super yummy as well, also with a kind person, of whom I believe to be a manager, taking care of me. It's nice to have a good poké place in southern RI !
Vegetarian options: Instead of fish, you can very well get tofu as a protein
