Came here for my mother’s birthday dinner, it was so good we came again the next day! We are from CT and this was the best food we’ve had while in RI! I’ll be back every-time I’m in the area. The service was excellent and the waiter was extremely attentive and friendly! The mango lassi, homemade teas, lentil soup, chicken tikki masala, naan and the chicken tandoori are absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to go back and try more! Thank you so much!

By FAR, the absolute best Indian food we have ever tasted! The lamb madrash, the lamb currry, the samosas, and masala tea will nourish you like a warm hug. And the garlic naan will floor you! The chef is amazing and the service is warm and friendly 😊

Overall delicious food! Got to take my neice who just started at URI, we all enjoyed our meals and the service was fast and efficient!! They did state on google they open at 11:30 but they open at 12. It's ok, we didn't mind waiting.

The best Indian restaurant in 30 miles, as the crow flies, in any direction! Great dishes include chicken tandoori, goat vindaloo, Chana masala, saag paneer, and the whole menu

I would give this a 100 out of five stars! I would highly recommend this restaurant if you want Great Indian Food! Their honey ginger naan bread is quite is so flavorful and delicious. I had the goat curry with basmati rice, Pakodas, and Samosas. Some of the tastiest in my experience. My wife and son shared the chicken tikka masala over basmati rice and a mango lassi, which was one of the best we’ve ever experienced. If you are driving through Newport and enjoy the great flavors of true Indian cuisine, it’s a must to stop by Taj’s

Taj is by far one of my family's favorite takeout spots. The food is flavorful, fresh, and delicious. Some personal family favorites that we'd recommend: their vindaloo, mango curry, korma, and the honey-ginger naan. Do yourself a favor and order some Taj tonight!
