I have been going here to the Vanilla Bean for decades and the experience is always completely amazing. Iced coffee, waffle cones and ice cream. Non stop positive and friendly staff next to a beautiful beach. Honestly, you could not ask for a better experience.

I feel compelled to write this review due to poor service and safety concerns. We ordered a cup of ice cream with sprinkles and informed the cashier of our family’s nut allergy. She checked for a fresh tub, which was great. However, while we were waiting to pay, she turned and asked the other employees, “Who is willing to do an allergy order?” They made annoyed faces and said nothing. Eventually, one worker reluctantly agreed. This discussion happened right in front of us and made us uncomfortable. Despite paying for toppings, they were missing when we received the order. It was upsetting to have health and safety treated as an inconvenience.

How else can I say this isn't just your average ice cream shop. This is where dreams come true and memories are established. Not only is it directly in front of an incredible beach but the ice cream,shakes EVERYTHING tastes of heaven. I have been coming here every year or every other year when we go camping and it's a treat to stop in and grab my personal fav and obsession purple cow. Vanilla bean isn't a should visit spot.Its a MUST STOP and make memories.30 OUT OF 5 STARS.

Our daughter has celiac disease and we do our best to talk to managers and employees if its safe/have options for us.
My wife spoke to a manager in the morning while getting a coffee and she informed us that yes, it is gluten free and they will use all clean utensils and brand new buckets of ice cream. After hearing this we did feel comfortable.
We went later that night, informed the staff and they got us a kiddie vanilla ice cream. Later that night my daughter was incredibly sick. We believe there was some sort of cross contamination that happened.
Long story short, if you are gluten free, be careful and ask more questions when coming here. Ice cream otherwise did taste good.

I tried the vegan ice cream, chocolate peanut butter. My partner got PB Paradise which was delicious (more so probably since it wasn’t dairy free ?) & our dog LOVED it. Great selection of flavors and variety of items. Would like to try a nitro float next time. A bit on the pricier side at $16 dollars for two small cones (two scoops each/one waffle cone). But overall a delicious treat.
