Food was delicious, service was friendly, but this nice third generation family restaurant could use a little more attention to detail and it would get 5 stars. I’ve lived in France for a long time, and unfortunately, this is not French food. It was heavy, old-fashioned and flavorless. Nothing about the dining experience was French. The wine list was embarrassing (cheap plonk and mostly American wines). We were sat in an extension that smelled of mold and was way too warm. There was no music or anything to create an ambiance. Overall, it was just disappointing.
We love Moulin Rouge. I've been going there for 23 years. Always consistent, always good food and always good service. If you haven't been to Moulin Rouge, be sure you do yourself a favor and get there soon.
