“We were promptly escorted out well before closing because they close the buffet 30 minutes before their posted time. Literally, the server said they were closing and they locked the doors behind us. Food was also being put away and staff gave customers dirty looks during all of this as if to get people to leave.

We called the next day, the manager insisted there was a two-hour limit. We were still within two hours, were explicitly told they were closing, and there is no posted two-hour limit anywhere.

Anyway, Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet in Warwick is one of the most complete buffets in Rhode Island and is significantly better than its East Providence location.

Hot Food: The selection is huge and leans heavily into seafood without sacrificing the traditional Chinese-American buffet experience. There were multiple shrimp dishes, crab, whole baby octopus, clams, oysters, calamari, fish, and plenty of Chinese-American staples like General Tso's chicken, coconut shrimp, crab rangoons, noodles, rice dishes, and more. Everything was fresh, hot, flavorful, and stocked throughout most of dinner.

Hibachi: Nothing fancy here, but that's not a bad thing. The station had a good selection of meats, vegetables, noodles, and sauces.

Sushi: This is one of the biggest sushi selections I've seen at a buffet. There were around a dozen different rolls available along with wasabi, ginger, and spicy mayo.

Salad Bar: Felt complete. Spring mix, iceberg lettuce, vegetables, toppings, and more. You could easily build an entire meal from this section alone.

Desserts: One of the more unique dessert selections around. There were full-sized cakes, puddings, mousse cups, strawberry cream desserts, flan, cheesecake, fruit, ice cream, popsicles, and more. Not every dessert was of the best quality, but the variety was impressive and included several items I don't normally see at buffets.

Staff: During most of the meal, service was excellent. Plates cleared quickly, drinks were refilled regularly, and employees were attentive. Unfortunately, things changed near closing. Food stopped being replenished, buffet sections began shutting down, cleanup started early, and we were ultimately asked to leave before the posted closing time. That experience, combined with the manager's response afterward, was frustrating.

Overall: Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet offers some of the best value in Rhode Island. The prices are low, the sushi selection is massive, the seafood offerings are excellent, and the buffet itself is noticeably larger than the East Providence location. If management handled closing procedures differently, this would be one of the easiest 10/10 recommendations in the state.“
