Newport Creamery has gone way down hill. The main issue is they simply don’t give enough food. You literally can count the french fries on your plate.

We went there very hungry and at that time of night it was not busy at all because of the service we had we was there almost 2hrs was not happy at all we should of got up and left and went to the restaurant across the street we will not be going there again at thus location

Our first time at this location! Always been to the Cranston and providence locations. But their service is always slow and our food is always cold regardless if we dine or get takeout. This location the staff is very attentive and considerate. She checked on us and made sure we had what we needed. Our food was served in a timely manner and was served hot! Highly recommend!

Shrinkflation has hit NC hard. Sundae cups are smaller, portions are smaller, cups are smaller all while charging $9+ for a 3 scoop sundae. Gave the restaurant a 4 star rating because its clearly corporate mandates rather than an issue with this location. For a family of 5 the bill for ice cream came to $37.64 before tip. Yes It's sadly getting harder and harder to justify the cost when you can get a half gallon at the market for $5 not even on sale. Service was excellent, ice cream was tasty, but it will be awhile before we return.

10/17/25 My daughter had her choice of restaurants and she chose Newport Creamery. Arrived at 5:45 pm and was told to sit wherever we liked. We sat at the counter with another customer. We were there 15 minutes and not one employee acknowledged us. At least 4 different employees passed and made eye contact but not one stopped to ask if we were all set. The manager also passed us numerous times even stopping to help the customer on the side of us and still ignored our existence. We ended up just leaving and headed somewhere else. This is the second time this has happened to us at this location so I felt obligated to leave this review.
Amazing food and service and my first Awful Awful since about 1960. Just as good as the original, except the glass was glass back then!

they brought back awful awful Mondays this summer 🩷 I kinda wish they'd continue it throughout the year even if they did it just one day a month during the off months. I'd love to see the number of people who will stand outside in 20 degree weather along with me 😅
