We know the head chef was out which was disappointing, leaving a few specialities off the menu. My wife's scallops were a little over-salted and a couple of them were slightly overcooked. Other than that everything was delicious. The oysters were delicious, the antipasto skewer was generous and tasty as was the house salad. For entrees they were incredibly generous portions, the risotto with the pork chop and pork chop itself were amazing. The value for this whole experience...
Excellent food, ambience and service! The menu isn't vast but there is a good variety of dishes, including vegetarian and gluten free. The restaurant menu also includes special entrees and cocktails. Patrons are initially offered a basket of cornbread with lavender -honey butter, which is absolutely delicious. I chose the beef stroganoff special for my entree and my spouse chose the filet mignon special. Both entrees were outstanding. I highly recommend the Farmhouse Restaurant.
One of those rare places that you feel good about supporting. It is obvious from the quality of the food, service and ambiance that the owners have put their heart and soul into this restaurant.
