Ordered the whole belly fried clams and paid for it that evening. We’re not fresh.
Delicious food made with the freshest local ingredients. Great service! The drinks are made with freshly squeezed juices by talented bartenders. The fireplace makes it the coziest Restaurant in the area. It’s perfect for all occasions! Best new edition to down town Westery !!
Last night was our first time at High Hope and everything exceeded our expectations. From the ambiance, the atmosphere, the creative cocktails, the oysters, the Pub Cheese starter, the Mushroom Risotto, the Tavern Burger, the butterscotch pudding and ricotta cake. The eclectic atmosphere is complemented by fun cocktails, such as the 70s Old Fashioned and the 10/10 Shirley Temple. The food is innovative and delicious, with generous but reasonable portions. The Roasted Oysters, Devils on Horseback, Raw Oysters, Risotto, and Tavern Burgers are highly recommended. The fried grits are texture perfection, while the warm beans with broccoli rabe and soupy are savory and creamy. The French Onion soup, mussels in Chile tomato broth, and steakhouse-quality French fries were outstanding. The grilled banana bread was also a highlight. The menu is refreshing different and delicious. Food & drinks were very creative & absolutely delicious! The atmosphere is inviting & open. It is a casual but classy restaurant with exceptional customer service where the staff are friendly & welcoming. This establishment is the kind where you will want to come back again & again.
