We went on a picture perfect day, only to be matched by a wonderful dining experience. The service was attentive but not obtrusive. We had the lobster roll and chicken salad sandwich, both of which were wonderful. The flying Horse mocktail was very tasty. In short, a wonderful setting and experience!
The Veranda used to be one of our favorite places to dine at the Ocean House. We haven't been in a few years so not sure when the change took place. What used to be an elevated experience is now very bland. Bright lighting for dinner (awful), an odd layout of tables, an abbreviated menu more suitable for lunch. Such a disappointment. The view is unbeatable and the ambiance lovely. However, my hot lobster roll was lukewarm at best. My husband had a crab cake which tasted like a fish stick. We'll be back, but only for a drink and clams.
