The best Dominican food in Rhode Island. As a Jersey City, NJ native, it’s been hard to find amazing food (comparatively) since I mixed to New England 7 years ago, but this place… is just as good as all my favorite spots back home. I love it. Try the pernil if you’re not sure what to get. But everything is good!
First time to visit and was excited to see food I love, so close to my house. However, the service was disappointing, the female staff that I interacted with seemed annoyed that I couldn’t speak Spanish so I had a difficult time picking from what was available. I just ended up picking whatever just to get out of there. Do I love the food? Yes. Will I come back? Most likely, but I need to get over the first experience. I wish your staff was friendlier, I did study Spanish and know a few words but its not very encouraging when your staff makes me feel unwelcome.

They ask what size plates but then only add rice and beans to it. Put meat in different plate and get charged by the weight. Complete scam. And if you don’t know Spanish they just scam you more when buying hot food. And make yu feel like you have to buy it. I speak Spanish and helped my friend from it but to think about others. So originally the sign said 59.99 when I walked up to order PKG B. Went and did a little shopping while they gathered it together when i came back to the counter the price sign now said to 79.99 I told them I won't be back. Very sneaky.

The rice for both my order was dry as hell and hard. Was not fresh at all. Very disappointed ordered pork feet and got some dried up pork.

This is such a hidden gem of a place, EVERYTHING is delicious. From the prepared foods to the cuts of meat, anything you could need for spices and sauces, and unbeatable prices. There's an incredible staff that will help you with anything you need. I can't recommend this place enough.
