“My wife and I ate here for the first time today and our food was THE BEST meal we have eaten in all the years I have been coming to Spartanburg & Greenville. The FrenchFries were the best I've ever had, and the Ham Croquettes were delicious as well. The smash burger and Tropical Chicken sandwich was delicious too. It is not very often that you go to a restaurant and everything is cooked to perfection. I couldn't have asked for a better meal at any price!!!“

“I love Tropical Grill. Good is great!
Couple things to note:
• The tea is very weak. Add a couple more bags to the brew.
• Please bring back the Tostones and put on the menu this time. I used to eat at your place at least weekly and that was the main draw. I still come occasionally but not nearly as much.“

“The fries were excellent, as was the burger except for the bun getting soggy from the sauce.
I asked for a different sauce and was advised I would have to get a side since that was not what they put on the burger. I went back and forth a couple of times as to whether or not I would have to pay for the different sauce. I never got an answer on that, but I was told that my alternate sauce could be put on the burger after the employee spoke to someone else.
I did not get a receipt or napkins.
The young lady at the window had her back to me when I pulled up to the window and was looking at her phone and speaking in an animated manner to another girl. It took a couple of minutes to be acknowledged by her.
While she was polite when she did address me, the customer service was a fail.
The last time I went to the same location (only about a week ago), I waited 15 to 20 minutes and was about to leave without my bowl when the employee had the person in front of me pull forward.
I told her I did not appreciate the long wait and the girl said it was because the person in front of me ordered a family meal of salmon.
I have no idea why that had to impact me.
The bowls are over-priced, but tasty. But, they don't taste so good that I'll pay the price and put up with poor service.“
