Excellent, excellent, excellent and within an easy walk to the Peace Center Concert Hall. Our third time here since moving from up north. A 10 out of 10 from us. My only criticism was with the beautiful sign hung above the main entrance door. Our family was seated in the outdoor patio area, totally enclosed with comfortable heaters. My seat faced the sign - about 8 feet away. While I could read the "Southern Bistro" part of the sign, I could not read the name of the Bistro which was painted in blue with a blue trim painted around the sign. May I suggest an orange color for the name with the same orange trim? You'd then be able to read it from further away. This place is one of our favorites.”

“I want to commend the Pink Mama's Ice Cream bus driver. I personally witnessed him stop his vehicle at a crosswalk at 385 and West Georgia Rd. He helped an elderly lady cross the street in heavy traffic, ignoring his own safety to do the right thing. The best part was when the elderly lady got to the other side of the road he handed her an ice cream sandwich, free of charge. Anyway, these guys exemplify what being a civil servant is all about!!! Please contact them when you have an event.”

She was very quick with responses to all of my questions and made helpful suggestions to me. Our table ordered Sea Food, Lamb, and Vegetarian Dishes and everyone was beautifully presented and delicious. The Appetizers looked like they belonged in a magazine and were delicious as well! We could not have been more pleased with our experience. This was about the fourth time at Coral and it is hands down our favorite place to dine in Greenville, SC! “As a lay-cook and scientist, there are certain ratios that you have to remember. H2O, Corn Starch and Water, and 80/20. I was walking out of my barbershop, and I heard a man describe another ratio of how he makes his burgers, and my mouth watered. This is how I received a card from the owner, Thomas. I hate that I lost it, but I remembered the ratio. When imagination and delusion hit, there is no greater feeling. The ambiance of the restaurant is a museum to its namesake. A table for small groups and high tops for smaller engagements. The menu tells you all you need to know. Multiple selections of burgers in any way that you can conjure. The patient and kind staff will tell you automatically, mix and match as long as you please. There is a menu for fries, let that sink in. My pictures will not do justice. My description is the remnants of a memory I wish to taste. A great burger is not only the meat, it is also the culmination of fresh ingredients. Tasting the fresh onion through the meat on a particular bite, it felt as if the slice was made specifically for this burger. The burger was delectably indescribable. I have had steaks that melted in my mouth on a medium cook, I order my burger well. This burger melted. No disgrace to the buns or the perfectly cooked fires, I would be here all day giving a dissertation on the anatomy of this experience. This is a reason to make your own, like you will make your burger.”

“We finished a five day trip to Greenville by having dinner at Soby's. It was packed on a Friday night serving up their "reimagined" Southern Fare. Ordinarily, I would dive in and tell you about all the great food, instead I want to give props to the two line cooks working the Grill and Sautée stations in the kitchen. Our table on the second level looked right down the back (cooking) line. If you've watched The Bear television series you get to see a dramatized version of how a commercial kitchen operates. At Soby's we saw these two guys in action. A nine-steak order at four different temps, no problem. They mowed through an average of 9-10 tickets on the "rail" all night with God knows how many orders per ticket. Great job. Great job indeed! We started our dinner with the Mussles Mariniere sautéed in a bacon, leeks, Manzanilla sherry, cream. So good. I wish the chef would serve four pieces of toast with the dish so you could soak up more of the sauce. I had to try the She Crab Soup, as it is one of my favorites, and Soby's version with aged sherry bowled me over. For our entrees, our server suggested a combination of half portions of their Shrimp and Grits and Crab Cakes. Apparently my wife is not the only one who couldn't decide between the two, and thus a special was born. The crab cakes had a sweet corn maque choux and were served with haricots verts and a mashed potatoes, remoulade. From words on a menu to executed perfection it was a perfect blend of flavors. The shrimp and grits were good, not the best we have ever had, but again perfectly prepared. My entrée was the Braised Beef Short Rib served with mashed potatoes and a Black Garlic Molasses Jus. I watched my dudes on the line make over 20 of these before mine arrived at the table. Fork-tender, the meat had a great depth of flavor from its long journey of preparation. I ate every bite, OK except for the payback bites to my wife for sampling her special. We finished dinner with a piece of their Limoncello Cheese cake followed espressos and Ameretto. Our waitress was perfect all evening. She had a very busy section, but kept the coursing of dinner moving in a relaxed pace. We never felt rushed. Before I end, a word about wine at Soby's. When you arrive at the table, you are given a wine tome. Not a sheet of paper or a wine list you are used to seeing in most establishments. This was a tomb, bound in a metal cover. Soby's owner is a vinophile and has amassed over 2500 wines on the list, that is always changing as choices are enjoyed and more added. It really is quite a stunning list. So get you some Soby's if you're in town. It was a wonderful experience. You too can enjoy food bliss”

“Visiting Greenville for one night and needed a place to eat that we could walk from the hotel. After seeing reviews and asking about SBH BBQ, we went for dinner and were not disappointed. The Sweaty Pig sandwich was delicious and very filling. The chicken nachos had tons of toppings and were very flavorful. We also tried the briscuit/Mac n cheese egg roll and the sweet potato crunch. Again, delicious. April, our server, and Brock, the manager, were friendly and fun to talk to. From the time we walked in the door, we felt very welcome. If you get the chance to visit SBH, don’t miss out!”

“We hadn’t been for a while and went Wednesday night. Sat at the bar as usual and had fun chat with people around us. The bartenders are efficient and make excellent cocktails. To start we shared the wedge salad. It was very fresh with lots of bacon and blue cheese. Wife went for the salmon which is excellent there. I am not a huge salmon fan,but this is the only restaurant that I will order it. I went with the chicken Marsala. It was a little different take on this meal and was excellent. Super comfort food. We’ll do our best not to let too much time pass before returning.”

They served to go orders that were taken after mine and got them ready. we work close by and myself and my co workers spend a lot of money there several times a week. The day shift is awesome but your night shift needs to be replaced. The next time your cook has something to say, tell her to bring to the parking lot, I can be just as nasty and rude as she was! I know a lot of people that work around here between food and health care and I will be encouraging them to spend their money where people appreciate their customers! Do better! I've worked catering for years and had to cook and could still get more orders out than that. I'm also calling DHEC for leaving the refrigerator open way too long, letting the Temps rise higher than they are supposed too.”

The service was out of this world and the staff was so friendly! I wish I'd had time for a sit-down meal but I'll be sure to make time during my next visit. Looking forward to trying more of their menu and seeing what's up with some of those sushi selections. 😁

Although I live in Piedmont, Shoeless is and always will be my local (which as a British person is important). I bought my first brew kit here, celebrated a friend’s divorce here, have made wine here, and I can’t even tell you how many evenings and lunchtimes have been here. It’s welcoming, comfortable, and the owners and staff are very knowledgeable. It’s dog-friendly, and my kids have grown up here (don’t get me wrong, you’re not going to fight kids here). Brew-wise, I have tried a lot of breweries in the area over the years, and Shoeless remains my favourite. The selection is great, and although my partner and I have very different tastes, we’re both always happy. It’s just a good and welcoming place to be.”

“I moved into The McClaren apts. (awesome place) about 14 months ago and discovered Otto Izakaya early on. Only 2 blocks away for me. Otto is, and has been, my go to place, especially when friends, family or business friends are visiting. Not a sole I have introduced has ever had anything but praises for the experience. If we are a small group, I always encourage dining at the bar. I have no idea who will read this, but people buy from people; and people they enjoy interacting with. I would be totally remiss if I didn't specifically mention bar manager Matt and his team behind the bar. If Matt has ever met a stranger, I missed it, as he has the personality to balance the engagement with customers, while still providing excellent customer service. Also, everything I've tried off the menu is high-grade and fresh! That's a must for me. I'd be slack if I didn't mention the awesome hard working sushi chefs, who are always open to preparing a creation to suit YOUR palate and preferences. As to other regular customers, and just my observation, but like me, they appear to have found a home away from home; a place to be comfortable, chill and let the time spent make a bad day better. I almost never take the time to give a review and especially a compliment; as I sometimes look for the negatives, as it is always so easy to criticize. So, as a native Greenvillian and business (person); and someone who believes and enjoys a five ***** experience that is reasonably priced, give Otto Izakaya a try. “I hosted an event for 125 people at New Realm in October. Carley, the event manager, was absolutely wonderful to work with. She helped me put together this event less than two weeks before it happened when or original venue closed. She worked within our budget. The time of year was perfect to have the doors open and make good use of the outdoor space alongside the train tracks where we had someone playing music and singing. We had a very large silent auction that they allowed us to set up earlier in the day. They've hosted plenty of events with auctions, so they had ideas of the best way to set it up and still give us good use of the space for guests. This building is gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the drinks came out fast! The bar staff working with our group was incredible. I would absolutely come back to New Realm Brewing Co. to host another event. This place has everything you need!”

“I recently visited Crumbl Cookies and was blown away by how delicious their cookies are! Each one is fresh, warm, and packed with flavor. The rotating menu keeps things exciting, and I loved trying new flavors alongside some of their classic cookies. The quality and taste are truly top-notch, and it’s hard to leave without taking a box home.
However, the staff experience wasn’t as sweet as the cookies. While they got my order right, they didn’t seem very welcoming or enthusiastic, and it felt a bit rushed at the counter. A little more friendliness would have made the visit perfect.
Overall, the cookies are absolutely worth it, and I’ll definitely be back for the treats—they’re just that good! I hope the staff experience improves to match the quality of the cookies.”

“We have had two wonderful experiences at this First Watch. Excellent food and service and highly recommend. However, what I do NOT recommend is purchasing gift cards from the company’s online website. We ordered one as a gift on 12/2 and it was to be mailed. Our credit card was charged on 12/2, but as of today, it has still NOT been shipped. We called and it was difficult to completely understand the lady on the phone. She said she would have them “reship” even though we can see it was NEVER sent in the first place. Confirmation number was given when pressed but it was the same as order number. Now, we are left unsure if it will ever arrive. This has left a bad taste in my mouth.”
