“We had a great experience at Coffee Underground. The atmosphere has a cool, laid-back vibe, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. My wife had the homemade farmer’s quiche, and I ordered the build-your-own breakfast sandwich on a croissant with provolone, scrambled egg, and spicy sausage — great flavor. For drinks, I had the Hot Frog latte and she had the plain latte; both were excellent. Awesome food, great coffee, and a place we’d definitely come back to.“

“I came here to try out the Valentine's Day flavors and had quite literally the best matcha in my life!! Tasted so good and will probably have to make the 30 minute drive again to come back lol. Limited hours so make sure you stop in whenever you have the chance. If you’re visiting Greenville and can only pick a few spots to try - make sure this is one of them!“

We went to their charter location, now one of five locations; the variety in tasty offerings, as well great artisan-made organic skin & health concoctions, along with jewelry, pottery, & leather goods were quite unexpected. Prices are a little high but these days everything is so I’d rather support a smaller business than a corp like Starbucks if I can. My friends and I work nearby and grab coffee here pretty often :)“

“I came in this morning to pick out some beans for my French Press. I don't have a lot of experience with fresh coffee, but Due South had great reviews online, and Paul was more than happy to walk me through the process, and explained some of the blends to me, flavor profiles, etc. I ultimately went with their Waxwing and it was a great pick. The shop itself was very clean and had a great vibe. I'm extremely grateful for Paul's help, and am looking forward to coming back!“

“Grateful Brew is a great place that I love to visit! Having coffee and beer is a winning combination for sure. I would only offer two suggestions that I think would help make this place even better: 1. Consider offering very small samples of beer. C’mon guys, EVERY other place in town (and most across the country) do this! 😁 No one wants to buy a beer they haven’t tried only to find that (in their opinion) it doesn’t taste good. If this was a rare practice I wouldn’t recommend it but it’s the norm at most places that specialize in beer. 2. Find a way to let the world know what you have on tap! Post your tap list on Facebook, IG, or wherever. If it’s easier use Untppd or TapHunter or something similar. I’m more likely to come by if I know there’s something I like (or want to try) on tap. Again, I want to emphasize that I am posting these thoughts as suggestions for improvement—-not as criticisms. Grateful Brew is wonderful “as is” but would (in my opinion) be just that much better with a few small changes. Oh yeah, staying open later wouldn’t be a bad idea either🤣🤣“

“I am visiting from Alberta, Canada..originally from British Columbia. This was the nicest little cafe I've been to! The owner is super friendly and the coffee is phenomenal! I'm very picky about my drinks and they did amazing! My friend loves his smoothie as well! I had the iced Mexican mocha and my friend had the mango Tango smoothie. I wish they had more stores in the upstate because it is kind of a far drive for me but always worth it!“

“How have I just now discovered this place???? I am Colombian and have tried many empanadas from many places, and these are top tier. The beef lemon empanada is phenomenal. Not only was the food delicious, the place was so clean and cute and the staff was very friendly. They also have a ton of delicious dipping sauce options for the empanadas. Not too sweet. Not too spicy. I paired that with a blueberry muffin which may be one of the best I’ve had in a while. I wasn’t planning to have breakfast here but glad I did!“

“We stopped here before a meeting yesterday around 9:45am. There was only one woman working but she was sooo pleasant, patient and kind. We both got the same thing a white chocolate mocha and an espresso chocolate chunk muffin. Honestly the mocha was pretty strong. We added a little more sugar to it and once it cooled a little it was still strong but delicious, I really enjoyed it. The muffin had no espresso taste but it was still yummy anyways. I really loved the atmosphere too. All in all glad we decided to stop here, I would come again!“

The staff there are top shelf, especially when you go there for morning coffee or tea before you start your day. Everyone brings the staple southern hospitality begins your day with a smile. They have an exciting array of latte flavors, and a down to earth industrial look on the inside mixed with some representation of paintings by local artists. It’s the perfect place to meet up with clients or with fellow professionals to network. They have free WiFi for getting work or homework done as well. They also have amazing ice cream options. Our children talk about Spill the Beans as if it’s Disneyland to our out of town friends. We love to go on family walks after work when it’s nice out and go up and down the Reedy and then stop in for some STB ice cream as the grand finale. An impressive plethora of flavor options, along with waffle cones they make right there in house - you can watch them make each one in the morning - make it the perfect highlight to take friends and family to when they visit from out of town. Greenville is full of wonderful and unique coffee and ice cream shops, but in our book, Spill the Beans downtown tops the list comfortably. *Grateful tip of the hat to the All-Star baristas in the morning, including Maddie, Leah, and Chloe, who offer the white glove experience every establishment looks for in their staff 🫡“
