“This was the Duncan location. Very fun atmosphere and delicious food! The Carnitas dinner was great! They carry Pacifico beer, which is my favorite. One of the lady’s in our group had a margarita. Steak fajitas, enchilada and steak & seafood quesadillas. Our waiter, Jose was excellent!! We will definitely be back.“

“Last night we went into Sabroso Mexican Grille at 845. We were greeted warmly by the owner even though it was 15 minutes prior to close. We asked for authentic Mexican tacos versus TexMex style. You can see the yumminess that we were given. Fresh and hot, the meal was on point! I didn't get a picture of the chips and salsa, but the "hot" salsa had some heat and was bursting with flavor. I'm sure I will be going back again!“

“I just ate there and I had an avocado salad and veggie fajita. They give you chips and hot or mild salsa and I had the hot which was not spicy but neutral hot and mild. The customer service was excellent and the service was fast. I would have preferred black beans over refried beans but I managed. If in town I will go back and have the taco bowl salad without meat. I am refraining from meat and it’s been working for me now for over a month. I may try a margarita as well. Thank you for quick, fast, friendly customer service.

“Mr. Salsa is a fantastic family-run restaurant with homemade Mexican food. The enchiladas are the closest we've found to the ones in Houston. The managers, Netto and Carolina, are super sweet and the staff always remembers us when we come in.“

“Typical Mexican fare you would expect from a Corona/Monterey type restaurant. The food was served hot and well prepared. The restaurant was exceptionally clean and well lit. Throughout our entire meal our waiter was only a few feet away and took great care of us. I would come here again.“

The hurricane left many businesses across GVL without power, and so many restaurants were busy around lunchtime on this Tuesday. I waited in a long line that moved swiftly and efficiently. Even though the employees were working non-stop for well over an hour, they were so kind and patient with each customer. Plus, the food was hot, fresh and warm. Nothing was chaotic and everything was clean when it could have been very overwhelming. I want everyone involved to know how good of a job they did on a stressful day during a hard time for a lot of folks. It was a simple lunchtime stop, but I left impressed and happy -- even if it was INCREDIBLY busy.“

“I have been coming here for over 16 years. I miss Armando. The days I would get lunch while working, he always spent a moment of time. Even at dinner. Every pregnancy, this restaurant fed my growing belly. Then the ridiculous events that were allowed to happen to Armando and his staff by a psycho that was allowed to bail while an incredible family/community man was healing in the hospital. I miss him and his presence. Now, when I call to make an appt, no one answers. If we eventually wait and finally get someone or just show up because we are already on the road, the place is not busy so I don't know the ordeal will taking orders on the phone. We pray Armando and his family are doing well and enjoying each other. Armando still keeping busy just maybe with grandkids! Thank you, Armando, for helping me plump up all 3 of my boys.
