Take a look at our favorite Greenville Mexican restaurants. Indulge in the city's top-notch Cheese Dip, Birria Tacos, Tacos Al Pastor, and other delicious dishes.
“This is one of my favorite places in Greenville. The carne asada was amazingly good with a delicious char and not chewy at all like how it can be at other places. The birria is to die for and makes my tummy warm and happy. The loaded churros are filled with a sweet vanilla cream and were worth every single cinnamon sugar coated calorie. Don't sleep on this place!Dietary restrictions: Corn tortillas for GF option“
“After hearing great reviews, we decided to try Papi's Tacos today, and we were not disappointed! We were able to sit outside and watch the geese play on the river and people watch. The food was delicious! We ordered the al pastor torta, chicken barbacoa tacos, and chips and queso for lunch. We had gelato for dessert (banana white chocolate and cookies and cream). Yummy!! The whole place is a vibe with friendly service and great music. I can't wait to go back and try a margarita!Vegetarian options: Several pescatarian options too.Parking: We were downtown on a busy Saturday. We were able to find street parking but had to walk. Totally worth it!Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu with several unique options. Perfect location to pick up food to go and eat beside the river or in the park.“
“We have been here a few times now. The food never disappoints. We love the quesabirria tacos and the other tacos on the menu. These are some of the best birria tacos we have had in the upstate. I can't wait for the Mauldin location to open because we currently drive almost a half hour for these tacos!“
“I thought the Mom’s Breakfast Burrito was the best and then I tried the tamales-all I can say is AMAZING! You can tell that a lot of love and attention are put into these authentic, simple and delicious tamales. Andreas has perfected the recipe ??‼️“
“This is by far the the best Mexican food in Greenville. Every time we visit our daughter in Clemson we stay in Greenville and the first night of our stay we eat here. The food is fabulous. The staff is even better than the food. They are friendly and efficient and we’ve never had a bad experience. I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s the best“
“This place is amazing!! We don’t live in Greenville & so now nothing will compare back at home! Food is amazing, prices are perfect and staff is friendly. Food came out quickly and was sooo good. Overall, highly recommend! We will be back!!“
“It started with fantastic service at the counter with a friendly smile and a wonderfulsuggestion after I placed my order to try the carnitas Gordita. A fantastic bite paired with a cold modelo. The group rounded out our order with an Al Pastor taco, Shrimp taco and Birra Taco. Everyone loved their order including another margarita to wash it down. If you're down on the river front don't walk by Papis.“
“If I could give them a 4.7 I would. Almost perfect. The staff is super nice! The atmosphere is not overbearing or trying to hard. It’s simple, cute and clean. We got the burrito bowl (1 chorizo and 1 bacon). The chorizo was delicious and moist, not dried out like I’ve had before at other restaurants. The bacon was thicker and smoky! SO GOOD.Each individual ingredient of the bowl is clearly very well prepared and fresh! My only issue, was that I felt like it nice combined, the overall salt really overpowered the freshness and complexity of the dish. I got a really good bite of onion and pico and at the end and then really good wish that there was more fresh and complex flavors showcased.Overall, LOVE IT and we will be coming back.“
“I have driven past this place for YEARS. Today, I finally joined a friend (and regular patron) here for lunch. BY FAR the best Mexican restaurant in Greenville. Cool, friendly atmosphere and the food, service and people are TOP NOTCH!! I had a "Fajita Quesadilla" with pork, a side of beans and added a small order of guacamole with chips. Plenty of food (ate every last bite and I'm stuffed!)! I look forward to more great food and dining experiences here!“
“Best birria tacos around. The street corn is the best I've had, ever They open at noon, the door is locked at 11:59, so be on island time. They're open til midnight, later on Friday and Saturday.Truly exceptional and a stand out in a city full of blah taco shops.“
“Been eating here for years.Everything has always been fresh and excellent. Service is always great and quick. Never a very long wait regardless of how many people are inside. Also the price point??? Never going to any other traditional Mexican restaurants though this is Tex Mex I would say this is more closer to authentic than other “traditional Mexican restaurants” you know the one w the gross white cheese sauce . A“
“Best tacos in greenville! Super fast service, flavorful meat, and generous serving of side toppings. Nice portion sizing and fair prices. They treat you like family here. I got takeout and it was just as delicious as dining in. My favorite is the pork with cheese/queso and the pork with pineapple!“
“This was by far the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to and I have been to alot of different ones the dip they give u with ur chips is so so good I really enjoyed it me and my husband will definitely be back !!! Thank yall for the outstanding foodParking: A large place to park“
“Exceptional experience. Y’all need to treat yourself and get your tiny buns over here ASAP. Food was out of this world good and hella cheap for the insane portions you get. Get the empanadas thank me later. The girl working the register was the sweetest thing and an absolute boss- she should own a share in the business. Heck, make her CEO.“
“My favorite restaurant and has been for years! You have to try the tempura sushi, I personally recommend the chicken and steak mix! Also if you have a student ID for example I am a college student and if I present my student ID, it’s half off for an entree! Friendly service and amazing food.“
“Love this place and have for many years. My criteria for places i want to eat most are locally owned and operated non franchise restaurants. This is a perfect fit for this. Place is run with extreme efficiency, and staff is always friendly, and more importantly, the food is always amazing.Always the first place my out of town kids want to go when they come back in town. Only negative is my own selfishness that they are not open for dinner anymore.Keep up great work!“
“Food is great, I definitely recommend the Calamari, best calamari you can get around. All of the sushi is great, this is definitely one of my go to sushi spots. Love to be able to use my chopsticks when I go out for Sushi. Plus, great service, the bartender is a great guy.“
“I visited this place last summer for the first time and I believe got the California burrito ? which was delicious and filled with ingredients and meat! I will be back to visit this location. The employees were very nice and my food was freshly made and delicious. The price was not bad at all and I was filled up. Definitely a hit for tortas and burritos. Delicious food and nice atmosphere. Clean restaurant. I recommend this place!“
“It's small but always a good experience. We drive past every Mexican restaurant between Taylors and here just to eat their food. ALWAYS DELICIOUS!! However, the last visit was $67 for 3 take out meals, which seemed higher than our last 2 visits. I mean, $22.50 per person to have lunch seemed kind of much. But service is always great and they seem eager to please. But the food...?Parking: Not many parking spots.Wheelchair accessibility: Very hard to maneuver as the tables are very close. However, when I brought my mother we managed. Just that's stressful and kind of embarrassing when you're trying to manage getting in the door and around the other tables without interrupting any other diners. Unfortunately, that does come with the territory though, when you do have someone in a wheelchair. We did our best with what we had.“
“What a great place! We visited an antique store in Greenville and found this restaurant for lunch. Nicely and thoughtfully decorated in a simple cohesive style. Very comfortable atmosphere. The Philly Cheese Steak sliders were amazing! That beef was so tasty! Could have eaten a whole meal of them but they were our appetizer. Main course - Shrimp Tacos. The flavors were wonderful! Little bit of sweet; little bit of heat; hint of lime. So delicious. We loved every bit of our experience and hope to visit again. Well worth the price and the drive for us!“
“Service was fast, accurate with a sense of humor, food fresh and good, atmosphere comfortable and festive. Spice was toned down for local taste, but they have a wide range of hot sauce should you want to amp it up. Highlight: Dos Equis dark on draft with a squeeze of lime.“
“This place is amazing. It was the first place we ate at when we first moved up here. The service is always fantastic and the food is always on point we get the same thing every time the nazario super, and Yolanda special so good. If you get the chance to eat here it’s a little secret spot off the path and it’s amazing. We eat here at least once every week if we don’t get it delivered lol“
“I was waiting in line for Chick-fil-A for about 5 minutes and got impatient and decided to switch over to Tacos & Bla Bla Bla’s line instead. Best decision I could’ve made today. I ordered and received my food in less than 5 minutes. Quantity and quality from this place. Portion was above my expectations and the flavor of the tacos were a 10/10. I got the Bang Bang Tacos.“
“This was our first visit here. The table we were sat at was still dirty when we got there. After it was cleared, I had to have someone come back out and wipe off again because it was still crusty. Service picked up quickly, and everyone was friendly. Chips were okay, but not their strong feature. The hot salsa was good, but the mild was not to our liking. Entrees were a hit. Beef chimichanga was delicious. Chicken with chorizo topping was also delicious. Meal ended on a good note, and we can see a return trip in the future.“
“Food was delicious! I ordered the nachos, my husband got the fajitas and our son got the cheese quesadilla. It was all very tasty. The waitress was super kind and did her job professionally. She even brought us a tiny dessert to share for free, which I thought was very kind because it was my birthday. She was very nice to our two year old and even asked him directly if his food was good.We ate out on the patio and it was nice and quiet, I do wish there would have been quiet music or something for background noise.Kid-friendliness: Super nice to our child!“
“Great spot for a quick reasonably priced Mexican dinner. We ordered their margaritas and were pleasantly surprised at the reasonable price! Their fish and shrimp tacos were great and so was their cheese and bean dip. Their service was great. Would definitely go back.“
“Good little taqueria. Went for $1 taco Tuesday. Had four different tacos. The steak, chorizo, chicken, and pulled pork. The pork was a little dry as was the chorizo, but still tasty enough for the cost! The sauces were fire !! Good service too! Will be back!“
“We were visiting West Palm Beach for a week during December. It actually rained for most of our stay, but one night we ventured out (it was not raining at that time) and decided to try this Mexican restaurant in a very busy, trendy street. We were disappointed. We ordered carne asada, corn on the cob (elotes), crispy fish tacos, enchiladas, a burrito bowl, and guacamole. We also ordered drinks, non-alcoholic. The service was OK, but the food, particularly the fish tacos, was not that good.“
“So, I went during lunch time and there were these two men (customers) who seemed to be discussing business related subjects sitting in the booth in front of me. They apparently wanted everyone in the area to hear them and it was very annoying. Secondly, I didn't pay close attention but I could have sworn that the waitresses were serving food from the same cart they were busting the tables with, not cool if in fact they were doing so.“
“Amazing food!! This is probably the best Colombian restaurant around Greenville and it never disappoints! Quick, friendly service and food came out fairly quickly. This is a hidden gem, pretty laid back place and i usually get the day special which on this day was sancocho de carne and i ordered beans instead of a salad. She ordered the grilled chicken and both dishes were delicious and as you can see from the pictures, they don’t play with their food portions! Highly recommended!“
“Service was great, everything looked clean. Food was ok they could have added a touch more flavor and also made the meat/rice softer. Both were very tough. Chips tasted like soggy cold cardboard. I’d give them a second chance whenever we are back in the area.“
“I really enjoyed my steak quesadilla. The salsa with chips was excellent. It is a cozy atmosphere with lots of booths and a small bar that fits 4 people. There was a TV at the bar and in the restaurant area to watch the game. There is plenty of parking and a small, outdoor seating area that allows dogs. I want to go back and try some other dishes. The menu has a lot of options that look delicious. Jose was my server and he did a great job! Thanks Corona, I will be back!“
“Service was fantastic, food was delicious, and it didn't take long to get your food. I'll definitely be back!Vegetarian options: Beans, rice, and vegetables.Kid-friendliness: Kid menu, and family orientedParking: It's in a shopping center with plenty of parking space available.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs so it's very easy to access in wheelchair.“

“(Translated by Google) They never fail! Both the flavor of the consommé and theBarbecue! I've tried other Consommés and it tastes like water but not this one! I live in North Carolina and it's worth going all the way to Greenville. Of course, they should have fresh water and not dust in my opinion. From then on it's delicious!(Original)Nunca fallan! Tanto el sabor del consome y laBarbacoa! Eh probado otros Consomés y sabe agua pero este no! Vivo en norte Carolina y vale la pena ir hasta greenville. Eso si, deberían de tener aguas frescas y no de polvo en mi opinión. De ahí en fuera está delicioso!“
“Best torta de asasa and tacos de asada and cabeza in Greenville and Asheville! I drive all the way from Asheville just to eat from this gem. I looked everywhere for this place after they had moved for a bit until I found them and I'm satisfied that the quality has not gone down.“
“Enjoyed my experience, food was delicious. Only complaint is that they should tell you before ordering. That if you don't have cash there is a payment increase with price total Other than that. FOOD WAS GREAT! Will go back with cash lol“
“Love the place… 100% make it to my top 5 favorite restaurant in Greenville…Parking: Designated spots with placers for clientsKid-friendliness: Kids friendly the restaurant has candy dispenser and is willing to acomódate recipes adding and taking off ingredientsWheelchair accessibility: The door is wide enough for a wheelchair but there is one small step for the side walk“
“Food here was very tasty, and certainly more authentic than I’m used to. While the food was delicious and I would definitely recommend, I wouldn’t go to Rosalinda’s expecting huge portions and unlimited chips/salse like a traditional Tex-mex style restaurant.“
“I recently dined at moes and had a fantastic experience! The food was incredibly delicious and fresh, bursting with flavor in every bite. The atmosphere was pleasant, with a clean and inviting ambiance. I particularly enjoyed the variety of sauces available, which added an extra dimension to the meal. A special shoutout to Santiago, the friendly and attentive staff member who provided excellent service throughout the evening. I can't wait to return for another delightful dining experience!"“
“Good food and price. Apparently (based on my experience and the friend that was with me), they have the custom of sitting people next to other groups, even when they're not busy. But just ask for another table, and they'll oblige.“
“(Translated by Google) Delicious al pastor tacos but ours lacked a little more meat. I'll be sure to order extra meat next time.(Original)Deliciosos al pastor tacos pero le faltaba un poco mas carne a los nuestros. Me aseguraré pedir extra carne next time.“
“Wow! The food here is phenomenal. If you're a fan of birria or Mexican street food in general this is a must stop. The birria is supremely tender and flavorful served with a rich consomé. The street corn is juicy with a pleasantly thick layer of cheese.A friend in our group ordered the birria ramen and was raving about it.Can't wait to come back!“
