“Our company had an event at this location. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food. I follow Doctor Caldwell Esselstyn's diet, so the only thing I ate was one brownie bite. It was very good! Others at meatballs, crab dip, lamb, and other meat and vegetable dishes. Seating consisted of mostly small, high-top tables that seated two people with one or two with 4 seats.I believe our section of the restaurant was closed for our event.The service was excellent. Our server was very attentive to keep beverages filled.“

“Wow! The people are great here! Big smiles, greetings and I am a big fan of the newer dish called Hash. They allowed me to replace the bacon with tomatoes and it is so delicious. I also like a signature dish called The Squawking Goat that was featured on the Food Network many years ago. On a regular old day, their grits are great on their own. I would recommend this place and if you are a local, they have a Coffee Club for $35 for the year. The best value for me because sometimes on a busy morning I fly by and grab a coffee to go. The atmosphere here is lovely, older people, families, cultural diversity and a clear view of the kitchen and being able to watch the biscuits being made is always a nice moment to witness. I have been coming here for about three years now and probably tried everything by now, waffles, fritaffles, biscuits and gravy, vegetarian gravy, smash browns with salsa, Blue Grass grits bowl....just really good food.“

“I visited Brick Street Cafe this past Friday while in Greenville,SC for lunch. I had the vegetable quiche and it was fair. It had been over baked and almost cool when served. They are known for their cakes and tried their sweet potato cupcake. It was delicious. So yes for the cake!Parking: Park behind the building!“

We got there before the lunch crowd really kicked in.The staff was very kind and friendly. I was able to sample a little of the salad I was interested in before making my decision. I already had my options in mind before arriving.I ended up getting one scoop of Kickin' Kay Lynne, and one scoop of Sassy Scotty. After tasting both, next time I will opt for two of the Kickin' Kay Lynne. It was delicious, tasty, and fresh. As we ate lunch, the staff walked around and continued to be wonderful. “This restaurant has been one of my childhood favorites in downtown. The shrimp and grits and fried green tomatoes are really good and unique here. I would also recommend trying their biscuits. One downside is the wait time, if you don't reserve ahead of time you usually have to wait a while due to their popularity. Also the later you arrive the more likely they are to not have something on the menu, for instance we arrived at 8(9 is closing time) and they didn't have the cast iron pork, meatloaf, and bistro fillet available. Other than that - great food and service!Vegetarian options: There are a few vegetarian options, but it's pretty limited“

“The food is always on point here. I eat here often as I am able. It can be a bit crowded at times but that's to be expected when you have good service and food. I always TIP the servers here, as a former waitress myself I know how slammed you can be and busy and hard working and to top it off by being kind to customers is a plus. “This was my 1st visit , it was great ! I love going to a buffet 'cause i dont have to decide and order i can look around and try a lil of everything ! The fried chicken livers were the bomb ! They were some of the best ive had , the fried chicken was spot on as well , the fried tomatoes were tasty , i had to get 2 servings of those and the baked mac n cheese ! The sweet potato soufflé with marshmallows was soo good ! Green tomato buffet is gona be one of my once a week stops , thats how good it was , my waitress was super nice and she kept my tea w/lemon topped off ! Thats always a plus !
