The service was good, the hot dogs are good, the chilly was pretty plain but overall good. They sell beer so that's a plus. You can't really beat it for the price. The inside is super rustic and old looking.

We stopped in for a drink while we were in town so I can't speak for the food but lots of people were coming in for the hot dogs and ice cream so it must be good. I love a good dive bar and that what it used to be from what I've heard from family members. The workers were friendly and they have a decent beer supply. It was a nice afternoon break.

I come from Massachusetts and I've noticed that we just can't get a good hot dog down here. Although the rough house doesn't have good hot dogs (from a northerners opinion) to me the whole shop gives such a homey vibe. I love the rustic bar. The friendliest service. The old school soda bottles. A good addition to the town for a quick bite.

I found a convenient place for a quick bite and opted for the lunch special that came with a drink, chips of my choice, and two hotdogs with chili, mustard, and onions. It cost me just under $10.The food was hot and decent, but there was nothing particularly remarkable or unique about it. However, the atmosphere was comfortable enough to sit and enjoy my meal.Overall, my experience was great, although the young lady at the front seemed to have a staring problem. I'm not sure if she enjoyed the way I chewed my food. Despite that, I would still recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick, convenient, and hot meal!Kid-friendliness: Ice cream for the kids with multiple flavor options.
Very nice place to sit down and have lunch after walking the square. I believe they do boil their hotdogs but they're still pretty good. I like to add everything to mine and get a beer or something with it. The ice cream portions are very good for the price and sure hits the spot on warm days.

This old-fashioned soda fountain/hot dog joint is awesome. It's "good-old-days" family friendly when families sat down and ate meals together. The hot dogs are the best in town, the service is awesome too. You're greeted usually before you can get your second foot into the doorway. Rough House sells craft bears and ice cream too. It's a nice place to take children. Their hot dogs have become a little more expensive since the pandemic, but in my opinion, it's worth it. Great spot all around.Kid-friendliness: Ice cream, chips, and all sorts of soft drinks are sold.Wheelchair accessibility: Door way is wide.
