The food was absolutely delicious— I especially loved the brisket and shrimp and grits - and my nephew loved the chicken skewers, Mac and cheese, and Caesar pasta salad - every dish was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. Many of our guests went out of their way to say how much it reminded them of home-cooked meals.

My husband and I had a dinner party for 23 people and unfortunately used Blue Collard Catering for 4 pans of lasagna. It was probably the worst lasagna I have ever tasted in my 70+ years and did not resemble the normal lasagna you would get in any restaurant. There were 2 single layers of noodles sandwiching scrambled unseasoned ground beef with nothing to hold it together. As a result, when you tried to eat it, all the beef fell out onto the plate and separated from the noodles. There was a fair amount of mozzarella on top of the noodles, very little red sauce and that was "it". We just threw the last pan out - it was not salvageable, and it was embarrassing. Fortunately I had made a pan of Chicken and Rigatoni Alfredo which was all eaten. My husband wrote an email of complaint - we were not looking for anything but maybe some concern about our experience. No response. He then called and left a voicemail. Again, no response. It is now more than 2 weeks. I would not be writing here had there been any concern for the customer (us!). First and last time using Blue Collard Catering for me!
