They have went way down hill ! Chow mein had no taste to it. Used to when you got chow mein you had noodles to put it on. Now they have some kind of homemade type noodles not even a noodles like crumbled up potato chips. Fried rice is almost just white rice!

I have been a patron of this restaurant for over 30 years. Everyone should have a "go-to" Chinese restaurant. This used to be mine. However, my relationship with this place has become one of love and hate. Ever since Vivian Hsu sold the business, the new owner has lowered the food quality and raised prices. I keep going back hoping that things will improve, but…. The main problem is inconsistency. You cannot expect the same thing two times in a row. The worst thing about that is the Hot & Sour Soup. I love that stuff, but I cannot count on it being satisfactory at Jade. On the last visit my wife’s dish was too salty to enjoy. We have given up on speaking with the owner about anything. The only thing consistent is his denial of there being any problem. My hope is that either he will become less complacent and get some pride, sell out or go out of business. This town is not big enough to have many choices. Competition is a good thing. If we had some competition, complacency would wither on the vine.

Long running (30+years) Ameri-Chinese food joint on Pine Log Road. Recently had Sunday lunch there with extended family in tow. I will say the atmosphere checked all the boxes of what an old school restaurant like this should look like--from the giant gold laughing Buddhas greeting patrons at the entrance to the Chinese Zodiak paper placemats. As for the food, pretty hit-or-miss. Solid hot and sour soup and spring rolls made for a promising start. However, the Happy Family entree was drowned in soy based sauce, making it too salty and one-note to enjoy. Mongolian Beef was oddly sweet but without any heat and the protein overwhelmed by too many onions and scallions. The Shrimp Lo Mein was inoffensive but not much else. Front of house staff was friendly and our server was cold but efficient. An overall inconsistent experience that could have been better. (2.5 stars).

The service was very nice. The problem is the food. The sesame chicken taste like honey with barely any sauce, the general Tso's was just sour, The egg rolls were even off. If I'm going to spend almost $100 on food I shouldn't have to go home and try and find some leftovers to eat. When I call back to complain they said that their sesame chicken and general Sol's chicken or cooked in the same sauce. I don't understand how one thing that's (honey)sweet and something else that's supposed to be spicy are cooked in the same sauce!! The only compensation they had to offer is a free egg roll or a drink. Needless to say I will never be coming back.

28 years and still loving it! Best Chinese restaurant in area. Menu has many different dishes, healthy choices and the green tea, jasmine, or any of the teas are great. Portions are generous, food has always been fresh and cooked to perfection. All the many rice, noodle, meats, fish, veggie dishes are so good, freshness in every bite. Seasoned just enough nothing is overpowering. Lots of tasty appetizers. Prices are very reasonable. Always satisfied.
