We were in Aiken and wanted hibachi so I google search Japanese near me. This place popped up with great reviews.
Definitely a hole in the wall. If you are not looking for it you would miss it.
My husband and I walked and the atmosphere was great. Waiter was very attentive but not over bearing.
He filled us in on a little history of the place and took our order. My husband got the spring rolls and I got the shrimp tempura which bith were AMAZING. The shrimp tempura came with a few tempura veggies.
He got the lunch teriyaki chicken and hibachi steak which came with soup, salad, fried rice, and vegetables. I got the hibachi scallops which also came with soup, salad, fried rice, and vegetables. The lunch portion was definitely more than enough.
We will definitely be back.
If you are in Aiken it's definitely a must try

Hidden gem in Aiken. Friendly servers; good atmosphere. They don't cook in front of you, but the food is great. I recommend the Bento Boxes and Hibachi dinners. They will have a sushi bar and be able to serve alcohol in the near future.

Walked in for lunch asked for 2 waters and waited... 10 mins later we walked out with no idea where the server went..
We just happened to find this place on a Sunday afternoon on our way back from Sam's club. The food was excellent and was served very hot. The service was good, but we had a little difficulty understanding our server, and she did not check on us very often. It was a nice clean atmosphere, and I gave this five stars just because the food was outstanding! I highly recommend this place as the prices are very reasonable and you will not leave here hungry!

Hidden gem, clean, good service, delicious food
I feel very bad posting this review. But I feel like the people of Aiken seriously have no idea what good Japanese food is. Other than PF Changs in Augusta, this was one of the most horrible asian restaurants I have ever eaten at. The Calamari was frozen, not fresh, no alcohol menu (would have been no big deal if the food was good) and the hibachi rice lacked any flavor and tasted old. The chicken, shrimp, and steak also lacked flavor and didn't taste fresh. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was empty. My husband and I love hibachi so we can be critical of asian restaurants. And we are from big cities with amazing food (like Philadelphia). We have the luxury of working remote and are living in GA because of lower cost of living and trying out the area to see if our spoiled selves would stick around a smaller town. We know that we are spoiled having great restaurant experiences in big cities, we know that. So we went to this place very open minded. We gave it a chance. And yikes. We were embarrassed that we didn't eat our food, asked for to go containers, and threw it out in the dumpster in front of the restaurant. We don't care that it's a hole in the wall and isn't fancy. We just want good food when we are in Aiken. But I remember overall it just wasn't a good experience, the hostess was dry, the waitress was nice but when I asked her the soda options she looked annoyed when she had to go check, and the place smelled like bleach. But we stayed and gave it a try. We paid over $100 before tip. That's crazy expensive for not even having alcohol. Aiken, I am sorry that this is what you consider good Japanese food. Good luck!

I think that this restaurant is Aiken's best kept secret. It is never crowded, the food is always fresh and when you visit. You must get the asparagus tempera.
Of course, Japanese soup is really broth and the salad is only lettuce. Keep that mind and enjoy yourself.
