Stayed here during 2023 Masters Event. Could not of asked for more efficient and friendlier staff! Rooms are perfect for staying with 3 guests as there is a bedroom and sitting area with couch. We were served a beautiful happy hour after returning from event. Amazing breakfast as well. Aiken is an adorable town with lots of fun restaurants.

We booked this hotel for two reason mainly; first for the pool access, second, it's proximity to mall/shops. While the suite was spacious and modern the king size bed was really sagging in the center. Very happy to report it was clean to my standards!! I'm one to travel with cleaning supplies lol but no need this time. The next morning after checking in I wanted to use the pool but instead was referred to use the Golds Gym a short 5 min drive. I was very disappointed to spend gasoline traveling to and back. Then I found out that demolition for the mall had started!!!! Why me!!??!! See pictures of pool- if this is the main reason you'll book, think again. Maybe I'll recommend because overall clean, quiet, great helpful staff. Parking lot was always to capacity.

Hilton is on a Super 8 Motel downslide and slipping fast. This Hilton Garden Inn Aiken is consistently one of the dirtiest hotels I've ever stayed in. Why do we come back you ask? My husband is a Diamond member so he gets perks. He is often here on business. A lot of his bookings are on points because of his status. Here are the perks I see. 1st Stay 1st Perk: When we stayed here a couple of months ago the tub was nasty enough that we had to have housekeeping re-clean it. They had to get permission because they don't clean anymore until checkout time. 2nd Perk: A male housekeeping attendant walked into my room without knocking, without acknowledging that he was housekeeping. I'm standing there naked... Still have ptsd from that incident. They made all kinds of excuses for him, however he was clearly acknowledging himself as he visited other rooms not 5 minutes before he opened my door. 3rd Perk: The housekeeping crew didn't bother to check the fridge. Found a previous guest's water chilling in the fridge. 4th Perk: Strands of other guest's hair in the towels standing long and clear enough for Stevie Wonder to see it. How did they not? 2nd Stay 1st Perk: I always clean/disinfect the common areas. Found tons of filthy areas in just a few swipes. 2nd Perk: Again the tub was filthy. Soap scum and what looks to be pubic hair stuck to the tub. And we just got here soooo.... 3rd Perk: I pulled back the comforter and found dirty sheets. Pic included. I can't make this up. This is horrible. 4th Perk: Absolutely filthy phones. Crud in every corner. I'm thinking they are thinking, if we leave the phones untouchable and nasty, they won't cal us for anything. Pic included. Tired of these perks. Just clean the dang rooms. I'm giving one star but truth be told, they owe us about three. They told us they would bring sheets us abs we can change them ourselves.

Why do I ever stay any please else? As far as I am concerned, HGI is best of the moderate rate hotels. This HGI was very clean and maintained. Super friendly staff. Restaurant in the lobby , great food and reasonably priced. My room was clean and well kept. Bed was great . If you travel a lot , Hilton has a good loyalty program. Highly recommend.

Thank you for an excellent stay!! The only feedback I can say about my stay was well made up for by the FANTASTIC STAFF. So, let me begin by sending a huge thank you to Michael, La'Quincia, Nika, Marcia, Emily and everyone in the kitchen and housekeeping. The staff were welcoming, warm, personable and took time to appreciate and assist each guest. I know that Yelp isn't always the place people go to see hotel ratings- and when I saw this rating I had to comment. This team is fabulous. They all went the extra mile in every way at all times. Not just with me, but i saw it with many guests. This happened continuously during a very busy week with the hotel at full capacity. I could give loads of examples, but none wants to read too long. Now for some feedback... The rooms could use some updating. Fresh paint overall. Most importantly with the bathrooms. We had a leaky toilet in one room and another room had horrible seals on the shower door which resulted in water on the floor all the time for both rooms. Otherwise all was great with the rooms.

Firstly, when you walk in the lobby it is very pleasant. The Assistant GM La’Quincia was very kind, pleasant, and helpful. Really good stay. Convenient to many restaurants and a main road in Aiken, Whiskey Road (highway 19). Awesome.

The maids saw us enter our second room across the hall to put soap for our children and get toilet paper for us. They accused us of entering vacant rooms. I had a key! My children are grown teenagers!

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were a reasonable size and clean. I would encourage anyone to stay at this hotel and will again the next time we are in town. They have a pool, however we were unable to use due to the weather.

We arrived on 4/30/21 at 3:00pm and went to check in and were told the room was not ready but it would only take a few minettes as the rooms were done they just needed to be inspected. I was handed my key at 4:30 pm . The very nice lady at the desk was very apologetic and explained to me that they were having a large group for a baton contest being held in town and two other things happening and they got hit all at once, I understood but was still not happy about waiting that long. While walking to my room I noticed that this property is very old and needs some loving care. The doorways to the rooms had paint chipped and were banked up badly and this is not what I expect at a Hilton property. Once in the room we settled in and went to use the shower (oh my) black mildew stains all over the shower area and the shower head was pathetic with no pressure , a garden hose would have been better, The next day we left for our activities in town and when we returned we discovered that there had been no service in the room. Bed not made and no new towels. The used towels just lying on the floor were we left them . They do have a sign in the bathroom about having to request service and ok I guess I can live with that but we needed towels and I had to walk down to the desk and get my own towels and walk back to my room. I felt like I was camping and certainly not at a Hilton. My guess this a Covid procedure about not servicing the rooms but some new towels would have nice. Let me end this review with something positive and that is the staff that we interacted with were very good , very polite and accommodating.

Awoke at 5a to see a large cockroach on the wall not 2 feet from where I was sleeping....based on that alone, sorry, terrible feelings for this property! The 4th floor where my room was located was old, worn and poorly maintained from a facilities standpoint. Not sure of the other guest floors. The lobby looked freshly renovated.

It feels great to walk into a hotel and have the front desk personnel call you by name! Just amazing! This will speak to my overall experience! The staff always make me feel right at home during my staff!

So please note that if you stay here, you will be treated like it’s your home away from home!! Such a wonderful, clean Hotel, with even a better staff! From front end to back end, we were treated like royalty at the Hilton Garden Inn, Aiken. This hotel is definitely my choice of Hotel when in Aiken. To give you context, I reside out of town but have a home in Aiken. Last March I experienced a water leak and since that time, I struggled with contractors so I had to keep coming back and needing a place to stay. Fortunately, the one thing for certain was they received us with open arms. When I first stayed at Hilton Garden Inn, they made us feel right at home...especially during the pandemic. The most effective thing for us was their communication and how they kept checking to ensure we were doing ok and that all our needs were met!!! I cannot express the gratitude enough we felt walking in every night and it didn’t matter who was at the desk...the warm greeting...the check ins...the clean rooms and overall friendliness of all their staff. Great Job! Thank you for all you guys have done to make us feel right at home. Neil & Nicole B.
