We are new empty nesters and we took the time to plan a night away.
The staff was incredibly accommodating and very friendly. Every step was next level posh. We were going to stay in a well-known resort in Asheville, but the prices were outrageous. The Willcox was very reasonable for a ‘special treat’.
The room turndown and options to make it extra special was a very nice touch- down to the homemade chocolate chip cookies.

The Willcox is a local gem and wonderful place to stay! The atmosphere is charming, historic and moody, creating a relaxing and unique experience for any age. The premium suite was very comfortable, with plenty of thoughtful details, and they offer great accommodations for dogs—welcome bag and all! The Wilcox is beautiful. I was in the one bedroom of the chef’s cottage. I was told it was “across the street” from the hotel. Which is technically true. It is across a one way street, small parking area, a tree filled median(with several steps) and another one way street. There are a few steps to enter the room with no hand rails.
