FROM THE MOMENT ONE ENTERS THROUGH THE GREEN SCREEN DOOR IT IS THAT ONE IS TRANSPORTED BACK IN TIME TO AN AUTHENTIC DINER WITH ATTENTIVE SERVICE AND EXCELLENT CUISINE. THIS IS A LOCAL INSTITUTION THAT EMBODIES THE SPIRIT OF "POCKETS" CARTER AND CONTINUES TO MAKE HIM PROUD. ONE CANNOT VISIT AIKEN WITHOUT TAKING BREAKFAST AT THE TRACK KITCHEN.

There are little gems everywhere. For us, this is one of Aiken's gems. Very much a part of the horse culture and people. Awesome atmosphere or, better still, ambiance.... Now for food-It's just breakfast. By that I mean the quintessential breakfast. Nothing fancy. No Asian-Italian fusion with notes of .... Blah, blah blah. This is a perfect breakfast of French toast and bacon or cheese and sausage omelette or, and this is important to us, PERFECTLY COOKED OVER MEDIUM...

Fun place to go. The walls are covered with vintage photos, news stories and plaques.
LOVE the homey feel-when we were told to step behind the counter to “take a cup and get your coffee”.
