Wow! This place is such a gem. The staff is very welcoming, acomadating and helpful. We oredered the crab dip, shrimp seewee style, and fried green tomatoes for appetizer and there was not one bad bite. The fried green tomatoes are the best I've ever had, lightly breaded, fresh, and not greasy. For dinners we mostly had the fresh catch and the seewee grill and everything was so fresh and delicious. We had an awesome time here. This is authentic low country seafood. We were a little nervous because the week prior there were some terrible reviews but we gave it a shot anyway. Sounds like new kitchen staff a month ago had driven those reviews but they are back up and running strong. Very worth the drive!
It's a wonderful spot. If you're tired of paying the Charleston prices but want quality seafood for a good price, this is your spot. The atmosphere feels like a family dining room in 70s South Carolina. Lowland cooking at its finest and most authentic.
