“We have been hearing the buzz about this place for a while. So, while we happened to be on this side of town, we decided to stop and have some lunch together. It did not disappoint. Then factor in that my husband and I both have a dietary restriction that is not the same and they were able to accommodate both of us!!! We will definitely be back next time. We're on this side of town.”

“Thee root cellar was great! Good food, great staff. Unfortunately a patron who stood behind me at the bar thought using the" R" word on his kiddos was okay. Maybe more folks should be educated on what the " R " word means. I pray his kiddos will break the cycle, kiddos now a days need more positivity in there life. I said it.”

“I've always had a good experience here. The times I have eaten in, wait time was very minimal and the food was hot and fresh. There have been a couple of times where a waiter has struggled with understanding someone's order. A little kindness goes a long way to help people as they learn. I have ordered to go more often, and the food has always been correct and made fresh/hot upon pickup or arrival. Some of our favorites are the burritos, enchiladas, elote, and chile rellenos. I also love the aguas frescas. The xango is also really good, but better when eaten there, since ice cream doesn't travel home well. :)”

“My wife loved it. She had the fettuccine alfredo add chicken (and she is a snob when it comes to this) and couldn't say enough about it. I had a bite and I have to agree.”

“Love these folks! Been going here a lot of years. Only three grumpy critical reviews since July of 2021??? And one of them only complained that they closed unexpectedly at 9 pm instead of 10 pm! COVID protocol unfortunately caused the menu change and their prices are great compared to fast food places around them.”

“Love Cookout and their menu. Fresh, never frozen Burgers and the best sweet tea, that's always the exact amount of sweetness. Never been a huge fan of Hush Puppies until I had Cookout's, they are my favorite side.”
