I'm Mexican and I can say the food was absolutely delicious. Food came out quick and piping hot. Everything tastes flavorful and fresh. Would recommend to anyone and I'm definitely coming back soon

Initially, I wondered about the cost of the meal, but seeing the generous portion sizes immediately showed me I got my money's worth! The Horchata was absolutely incredible, and though I had never tried Esquites before, they are now a must-get every time I visit! The Quesadilla de Pollo was delicious, and the portions were large enough that I had leftovers, essentially turning one meal into two. As a college student, having enough food for leftovers is truly a lifesaver!

Would be 5 stars IF they had their pineapple water available. It is the absolute best drink in town, but they don't have it offen. I don't think they realize how well it will sell. It also should be on their door dash menu so that it can be ordered daily.... such an easy, healthy, fast seller that they should capitalize on. No complaints on food. PINEAPPLE WATER Monday Wednesday Friday pleeeeease if not daily.

It’s my fourth time I come to this restaurant, service pretty great and kind, the atmosphere it’s not the best but the food it’s fire pretty delicious, I recommend the Birria quesadillas and tacos and chicken quesadillas if you looking for a real and authentic Mexican restaurant come here, if you looking for a place to stay just for atmosphere and not enjoy food go to other restaurant, but this it’s my top 1 in beaufort sc, besides the agave Mexican is my 2, but marmota is pretty great, I read other bad reviews from here but nothing true of what they say most of these people are arrogant. To be honest this restaurant it’s so amazing!!
We did not enjoy our food from La Marmota. It was so bland and flavorless, it did not have the fresh, bold, vibrant taste that one would expect from a Mexican restaurant.

The burrito we ordered was stuffed with too much lettuce. I suppose that makes for a cheap filler instead of filling the burrito with something like meat, beans and rice. This food did not taste authentic as it was completely lacking flavor. The birria tacos were extremely bland. Overall I would call this Mexican food “whitewashed”.
