Wow, what a great evening and an awesome way we spent our 48th anniversary. It's been 48 hours later and we are still talking about the amazing Scallops my wife had and my Delmonico Steak I had. The taste still lingers in our mind. Our waitress showed us special attention with a glass of Champagne and an amazing dessert. We sat outside and the weather was great and they even offered bug spray if we needed it. I can't say enough about Saltus and highly recommend this...
We enjoy eating at Saltus. This visit, we ordered a Delmonico steak. It was prepared well, cooked perfectly but delivered luke-warm / room temperature. We did not want to send it back because we did not want to wait any longer, as it took about 45 minutes for the steak the first time. I do not know what happened except that maybe the steak sat somewhere for a long time before ultimately being brought to our table.
The restaurant was recommended by our hotel manager and boy was she right. Lovely location and view of the water. Our waiter was excellent and the food delicious. My husband had the roasted chicken which he said was the best he'd ever had - infused throughout with her flavor and a crispy skin. My crabcake was delicious - and, being a Maryland girl, I'm pretty particular about crabcakes.
