My wife and I dine at Saltus frequently, but usually sit at the bar and just enjoy ourselves. The food, the friendly, relaxed but attentive service, and the overall atmosphere keep us coming back. This time, however, we were having dinner with friends/relatives we rarely see, who were visiting Beaufort for the first time. Great all around. Our server was fantastic! We had the crab bisque and ordered an extra side of crab to go in it. It was the bomb. The flavor was really good. My husband had a very good Delmonico steak. I had the salmon belly sashimi which was awesome, the fried oysters had more personality than most fried oysters which were delightful, and the steak tar tar which was very good but not the best I've ever had ( best at a real French restaurant).
