Excellent service!! I needed a last minute pound cake for a chicken bog/fundraiser for a young man battling cancer on Saturday! Opened at 10 instead of 12 for me to get the cake! What a wonderful experience, the cake and chicken salad were delicious!
Thanks DJ for an awesome customer experience. Needed an urgent cake for a birthday while in town, spoke to DJ, and Get Down Pound made it happen. Got the signature cake and tried that Apple Pound Cake.... both were GREAT.
Spontaneously walked in while traveling through Bishopville. The sweet potato bread sign caught our eye and it did not disappoint. We ended up buying several treats and some pork rinds to take home. Every single thing hit the spot but dang special mention to the down pound cake, pecan chewies, and sweet potato bread. Service was great too!

Get Down Pound Bakery offers excellent service with fast turn around time. The friendly, family-owned staff is thoughtful and timely. The most amazing lemon pound cake and pecan cake slice are extremely tasty. A lemon cake slice and pecan cake slice are delicious, and the chicken salad was delicious. The bakery opened early for a last minute pound cake for a fundraiser. The gentleman working was very friendly. This place is 45mins from home, but customers would gladly drive back.
