This place was extremely authentic and had such a great vibe. The decor was amazing and the service was friendly, prompt and welcoming. I don’t know the last time I had a meal that was on point all the way. No issues. Everything fresh and delicious. I am always on the lookout for a place that has a Jamaican meat Patty on the menu. I was in the Bluffton area and saw “A Taste A Di Caribbean” on Google Maps. I read the reviews and checked out their Menu in the Photos available and saw a long list of Patty types available as hand helds. I had to stop, it was a Thursday, 3:30pm and they are open. I went in and to the bar, Devene came to welcome me, and I asked about ordering a Patty or two. I went with Beef for sure, my typical favorite style. And went with the Jerk. As Devene brought them out, he said be careful they are hot, right out of the oven. Indeed they were. I could not wait, as soon as I hopped in the car, popped the beef one out and gave it a good look, and the had a bite. Very flakey, texture looked and tasted as you would expect, and as I had the next few bites realized this was the real deal. I have had to settle for the various frozen patties around for convenience since living in this area. And occasionally will treat myself to fresh made ones from restaurants like this, and I would say of the ones that I’ve tried these rank up there at the top. A bit steep for a single beef patty at 6 bucks, but to me worth it for the freshness and flavor of Jamaica as a splurge every so often. The Jerk patty was also very tasty, not too spicy, lots of the jerk flavors you expect from Jerk style cuisine. I’ve gone past this area many times over the years I won’t be doing that too many more times without stopping to grab a patty! Also will have to try their Jerk Chicken and Jerk Pork on a future visit.

Absolutely the best Caribbean food you can find in the area. I had the goat curry. Mother-in-law had the curry chicken. My wife had the Escovitch fish and she devoured it. Mom said the her food melted in her mouth. Must go place to eat.

This place is like a slice of heaven. Everything was extraordinary. From the food, the service, the ambience, it was delightful. Our party tried the oxtails, the rice and peas, the festivals, the fried plantains, the jerk chicken, and the mac & cheese was out of this world. You definitely should go and try this place.
