As always, everything was perfect. We started with the Oyster Tasting for my husband, the Scallop Crudo for me and the Foie Gras for our friend. For entrees my husband chose the Elk and our friend, and I each had the 10-ounce Filet. Everything was perfectly prepared and delicious. We shared the Chess Pie and the Creme Brule for dessert. Both delicious. It is our go to restaurant for out-of-town guests or a special occasion. We, also, enjoy an occasional Friday lunch at the bar. I am just sorry that you are completely booked for Christmas Eve but understand the demand is high. We love The Bluffton Room and recommend it highly to anyone that has not yet experienced it.

Everything was great except we got one of the very small tables against the brick wall and not as romantic as the regular tables or curvy booths; especially since this was a big birthday celebration.

Best meal ever in Hilton Head area. Excellent food and great service in a lively setting. All three courses were top notch, She Crab soup was second to none, main course of salmon was cooked to perfection with a perfect range of accompaniments, filet mignon was stupendous, also cooked to perfection. Super deserts to top it all off. Price is high but superb value for money thanks to the quality of the food and dining experience.

Awesome cheeseburgers and fries. Salad was perfect. At 11 a.m. place was already packed for lunch. Menu was so good, hard to make a decision but the hamburger was suggested so went for it. It was a great decision!

Greeted by Anthony our waiter and he addresses us all by name. Appetizer of baked oysters for the table was excellent. Salads were also very good. We all had various steaks and sides and no one was disappointed.

We've always loved our dinners at the Bluffton Room but, unfortunately, our recent visit, celebrating our anniversary, was disappointing. The service was spectacular -- attentive, friendly, knowledgeable. The kale salad was tasty and the warm sour dough bread was good. The main course - sole and shrimp - was not good (sole was bland and tough and the tiny shrimp were rubbery). The smashed/mashed potatoes were great and the asparagus rather tough. We could have overlooked this if the noise hadn't overwhelmed us. It was so very noisy there to the point that we couldn't hear each other talk.

It was extremely loud, even the servers had to shout to be heard, so conversation was strained. The water tasted ashy, obviously unfiltered. The She Crab Bisque had few and tiny bits of fish. The filet mignon (medium) was dry. The asparagus ends were woody, I had to remove them from my mouth because it was like eating toothpicks. For a meal over $250, my husband and I expected better quality food - like we've had there before. Maybe it was just an off night... Our server, Riley, was very personable and did a super-fine job!

We have been to the Bluffton room many times over the years. Our experience last night was still very very good, with one exception. I'll start with the good. Our server was excellent. The cocktails were excellent. The salads were very good as well as the side dishes. Three of the four of us thought the meal was excellent, however, my entrée was a bit of a disappointment. I ordered one of the specials, which was a veal chop. It was fattier than veal chops I've had in the past. It was good, but not excellent. The overall experience was very good and this one minor disappointment will not stop us from going back.
