So good!! The food here is really excellent. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice. The outside would be especially nice in the fall or spring when the weather is cooler. (the church directly across the street is beautiful). My family and I came here twice on our vacation to Palmetto Bluff, once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times the food was excellent. My only complaint is that the menu was basically the same. (I would've hoped for some different dishes since many people dine here multiple times throughout their stay because there are very limited options on Palmetto Bluff itself). The staff were generally friendly and attentive to my large party. I would certainly come back here and recommend it to other visitors/vacationers.

Kerry Ann was our waitress and she was very personable and attentive to our needs. It was very apparent that she loved her job. The food was very good. The atmosphere was very pleasant and had a great low country feel. I can’t wait to come back to Bluffton and visit this beautiful restaurant again.

Couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience! Our server, Jordan, was AMAZING! He noticed we were uncomfortable with our seating without us having to say anything, remembered details we’d said about ourselves, was accommodating, and EXTREMELY well spoken and well versed on the menu. The food was great, and all the staff felt intuitive to our needs. I felt welcomed and like every member of staff— from chefs to servers to management— was happy to have our group, even when we had a couple of accommodations made.

I ordered a banh mi sandwich. It tasted nothing like it. Instead it was a deep fried mess of a sandwich southern style. My husband had a French dip and it came with GREY looking gravy and said it tasted horrible. My toddler had the deviled eggs. Even those were terrible. Complete waste of money. I do remember we loved going there in the past but not sure what happened to the quality of the food.

We went to Buffalo’s for a special birthday dinner, but the experience was disappointing. The service we received felt more like what you’d expect at Applebee’s. One entire meal was forgotten when we ordered, leaving the whole party waiting while the rest of the food got cold. Drinks took over 20 minutes to arrive — if we were even asked — and our server hardly checked on us at all. Instead, their coworkers had to step in to see if we needed anything. It wasn’t busy enough to justify such poor service. Despite the experience, we still left a 20% tip. Very disappointing to visit a place that’s supposed to be more upscale and receive such terrible service.

After my proposal in front of the water way, an AMAZING server from Buffalos saw that we had gotten engaged and walked over two glasses of champagne to us and congratulated us! We happened to have a reservation there (that she was unaware of) which was fabulous and the food and service was amazing. Just shows how amazing their staff is, whether you’re dining there or not! Will be back for sure!!
I have eaten at this restaurant 3 times now and the first 2 times everything was nice but I went for lunch today and the food was mediocre at best. I ordered the chicken sandwich with NO arugula. The sandwich came with this small, fat piece of chicken that I needed to slice myself (the kitchen should have taken care of this) in order to eat the sandwich and it came WITH arugula. Our server was no where to be found so I took care of it myself. My other complaint is they charge you for every soda AND they charge you $5 per serving which is totally absurd. I drank $10 worth of soda today (a can costs .50) - just not right. My other complaint is that the dining room is ridiculously loud. We were a party of 9 and we could not hear what half our party was saying. They need to look into some acoustics. Very disappointed, probably won’t be back.

I worked in the hotel industry in NYC, various mgt roles over the years at The Waldorf=Astoria, The Plaza, W Hotels, Omni Berkshire and Kerry Ann our server was phenomenal! Outstanding job Montage team, she is a true servant leader! Food was very good as well. I now work as the Hospitality Realtor, but it is such a pleasure to watch and be on the receiving end of such awesome service.

John was one of the best server’s I’ve ever had. He was very patient with our large group, detail oriented, and he would go above and beyond to double check something if he wasn’t quite sure. The food was amazing ! We had the ribs and steak. The Cesar salad was dry and needed more dressing, but John was happy to bring us more. All the staff were friendly and greeted us with smiles. The building is one of a kind, and you get an amazing view of very old large trees while you dine outside. We cannot wait to come back!
