What a find! I think we have been to almost all the restaurants in old town and can't believe we missed this one. We started with their house drink the colonel and key lime martini. I was a Little hesitant of the colonel due to the April but the honeysuckle vodka sucked me in. I'm so glad it it did, refreshing and not overly sweet, one of the best drinks I've had. Key lime martini was simple, but equally as satisfying. We had an an appetizer of andouille sausage, pimento cheese, pickles, mustard and crusty bread- delicious! For dinner my husband had the double stack burger- cooked to temp, juicy and satisfying on a brioche with a side of house potatoes. I had the fried chicken sandwich with house made chips. The chicken was fried to perfection, not greasy. It was dressed with cheese, slaw and bbq. We did not have room for dessert, but they have a great assortment. Another great Blufton establishment to add to the rotation.

the shrimp and grits was not good. the one drink i got had been sitting out and the waiter added fresh ice to make it look fresh. water downed and poor quality.

The service was great! We went for a late lunch and they were not busy. The food was amazing. Loved the fried green tomatoes and the chicken and waffles. Will be returning.

First visit. Sat inside, very noisy. Food and service were both pretty good. Maybe should have gone outside, had live music and seemed less chaotic.

Oh wow. I have been here at least two times before but this last trip has changed my view entirely. I will NOT be back. First off, our waitress was rude and short from the very beginning. There was only three of us. Were not loud, obnoxious etc. so the attitude was completely unwarranted. We felt like our mer presence was annoying to her. She took our drink orders, I asked for a water she barked at me that " its coming". Ok, well you asked what I wanted to drink? It also took us 45 minutes to get our food. The restaurant was almost empty inside. The outside was busier but thats a little ridiculous. NOW, heres where it gets wild. Not only are the staff or people who work there but are off sitting at the bar chatting the entire time, they are vaping inside as well! Staff members were also in pjs while working? I'm sorry.... what???? In addition, one of the bus boys / food runners slammed accidentally into the host stand while carrying a sign. Swearing up a storm right next to our table. Just looked at us and kept going. No apology, completely unprofessional. To make it WORSE, he then turns to leave and accidentally kicks/falls into my chair as well! Enough to move my chair. It wasnt subtle. He kept walking and shouts over his shoulder, "my bad". DUDE WHAT IS THIS PLACE. The waitress saw, no one said aything to me or my table. No real apology. When my mom is relying this to my boyfriend who had been outside on a call during all this, the food runner overhears and yells at us, "I said I was sorry!". I mean it was the craziest most horrible experience here to date. WE are NEVER COMING BACK. I would never recommend this place, the food is only fine. The service is terrible and it seems everyone is very unprofessional. YIKES RUN.

First time there and it was great. The chicken sandwich and the creamy collared greens were each some of the best the I've had anywhere. Linda our server was fantastic and made the best recommendations. It's a really cool place with a nice local vibe. We will be back!

Miss Burdette was our server and she was awesome. We were a party of four celebrating the holidays. we had 3 different apps (crab cake, andouille sausage plate and seared tuna) and all were delicious. Not my first time here but this visit was memorable because of the over the top great service. 10/10 will be back soon!

From Florida and we were checking out the area when we randomly tried this place out - amazing food and drinks, and great atmosphere on a Saturday night.
The food was so good we want to visit the area again just to eat there.

Good bar food , very appetizing. Patrons walked out after being seated, management failed to quiet down an obnoxious bar patron yelling at the top of his lungs at the Tv during the Florida -Georgia game. The court yard was very crowded.

We stopped in for dinner on a Sunday night. The patio was buzzing and we were seated at a table in the middle of all the action. Unfortunately after 15 minutes we weren’t greeted, given water, or anything. Tables sat after us got all of that stuff so we simply left. Won’t be back.

This is a cosy stop. CALHOUN STREET TAVERN is a local, on-path fixture within its historical setting. We enjoyed the traditional South Carolina taste of chicken, seafood, and cattle, blended with a current flare of slaws to sauce and garnishments. The lounge is well-stocked with local favorites from bourbons to barley and crafty creations galore. Enjoy your time in a modern country-coastal setting that retains a heritage of days ago.
