The pastries were really good. The cinnamon roll was almost light, and didn't feel super heavy, and was really good. Wish they had more coffee options though

Yikes. Let's see, good things first -- lovely place, nice lady working the register. The deck sofas are comfy and the lake nearby offers some pleasant sights after the meal.

But the rest...

The egg in the breakfast sandwich was made with either reheated frozen egg "patties" or with the pre-mixed stuff. Hard, rubbery, and tasteless. Honestly, any fast food joint will serve up a better egg and cheese sandwich for a literal fraction of the price.

The worst offender was the kid's peanut butter and Nutella. The bread was stale and crumbly, like it'd been sitting out all night. There's a myriad of ways to make this more delicious and whimsical -- toast it to make it more gooey! Use crunchy peanut butter for texture! Anything!

Don't worry, you'll get a single pickle spear or two -- two! -- paper thin slices of cantaloupe as a "side."

No love to be found in this breakfast food, just expensive mediocrity. Spare your wallets and your taste buds and go anywhere else.

Most beautiful, welcoming, relaxing environment to enjoy lunch. Absolutely breath taking. Staff is super friendly and remembers who you are if you frequent the place. Food is impeccable and something to look forward to considering its freshness and preparation on demand. Highly recommended to ANYONE. Just keep in mind lunch may cost you $40-$50 for a couple of people depending on what you order- but DEFINITELY worth every penny!!!

Surprisingly delicious roast beef sandwich. Hubby and I split it and they divided it up, gave us both a small side of pasta salad and each of us a pickle. Also to note, they DO serve liquor. Just in case you're looking for a cocktail. I honestly thought this was a Mexican taco and margarita place... Instead it's sandwiches. But, they did serve margaritas.Great bicycle stop if you are on the way to the 5 story treehouse.4 stars because I was misled by the name.. thought I'd get a taco.

Very nice old school feel to this awesome sandwich shop. From homemade ice cream sandwiches to Candy's Homemade delights, this place is beautiful. They also serve alcohol for lunch. Hmm hmmm

Looks very charming but ordered a breakfast sandwich and was very disappointed . Not only was the food tasteless and poor quality, it was also expensive.I thought I was getting real fresh eggs and was surprised at a McDonald’s looking round egg patty.Bread tasted stale .Returned the meal and did not even get an attempt at an apology or offered a substitution .Definitely no southern hospitality here.

Fresh, simple and plenty of good choices. Moreland Village is fabulous and the architecture is so classic and so modern all at once. Nice people and well priced.
