We sat at the bar to eat. you definitely need reservations if you want a table. The food was delicious. We will definitely be adding this place on our list of places to go. Kaylee was our server at the bar. She did an amazing job. We got the pig &fig salad to share. the kitchen divided it in half for us which was a added bonus. Their salads are all huge and can be shared. The pig &fig salad was fresh and very tasty. I would have liked a little more parmesan.
We ordered the muffeletta pizza. they just added it to the menu yesterday. they used the mortadella for the base. it was unique and very tasty. I hope they keep it on the menu.
They offer you a sesame bread with oil and vinegar while you are waiting. you can really taste the sesame which is good.
we will definitely be back and tell our friends.

Joelle in Bluffton, South Carolina, is a hidden gem that every foodie needs to experience. Among its standout dishes, the short rib is an absolute showstopper. Melt-in-your-mouth tender and infused with deep, rich flavors, it’s a dish that defines comfort and sophistication.

The slow-braised meat practically falls apart at the touch of a fork, and the accompanying sauce—savory with just the right balance of depth—elevates every bite. Paired with perfectly a savory rissotto, it’s a meal that feels both indulgent and satisfying.

The ambiance at Joelle only enhances the experience, with its warm, inviting atmosphere and top-notch service. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, the short rib at Joelle is worth every mile. Don’t just take my word for it—make your reservation and prepare to be blown away!

Chef Brandon and chris our server made the experience unforgettable ?

Joelle is exactly what Bluffton needed! It had been on our list to try for a while, and did not disappoint. The atmosphere was quaint and charming, and our server Carson was the perfect complement to a wonderful evening. We were stuffed to the gills, and still ordered dessert and a pizza to go because we couldn’t get enough. We will definitely be back in the near future

First time eating here, the appetizers were a little small and disappointing (tuna crudo and polenta fries) but the pig and fig salad and funghi pizza well made up for it in portion size and taste - just awesome! ?Recommended and looking forward to trying dinner sometime

We've been in a few times and everything has been perfect. Wonderful food, excellent service and a great manager who always stops by to ask how everything is. You have a young lady who is your hostess, and has been there each time we've been in. She is amazing and sets the tone for a great dining experience. She is extremely polite, always smiling and is constantly busy. Keep her around!!!!!!

Staying on Hilton Head, we rarely dine in Bluffton as there are so many options on the island. However, this restaurant was so highly recommended, six of us had dinner this past Wednesday. The place was packed, we didn’t know it was 1/2 price wine Wednesday, a nice surprise. As the photos show, we ordered a bit of everything, forgot to take a snap of the margarita pizza, which was outstanding.

The pig and fig is an absolute must. The best prosciutto outside of Italy. The duck Ragu, although it doesn’t present quite so well, was amazing, both the duck and homemade pasta. Osso Buco was cooked to perfection, falling off the bone. Octopus was cooked perfectly. But my favorite was the cioppino. The seafood was cooked perfectly and the spicy tomato broth, extremely light, was the best I’ve ever tasted.

Portions are plentiful. Order a variety so you can share, you’ll want a taste of everything!!

The restaurant is less than a year old and they definitely have some kinks to work out. Could absolutely use more help at the bar, it took forever to get our drinks, but the food came out rather quickly. Extremely nice hostess and staff.

Kudos to the chef and kitchen staff. Everything was outstanding and we will definitely return. This place is going to turn into a hotspot for sure. We have dined at the May River Grill, which is also terrific, but Joelle is a totally different atmosphere with exceptional food. Now Bluffton has two fantastic restaurants to enjoy. There is definitely room for both.

Food is excellent authentic and simple as Italian food should be. Sat at the bar and the bartender was a true professional. Very skilled and attentive.

When I think of Italian food I’m thinking bold flavors. This was our first visit to Joelle and the experience was mixed. Our server was just lovely. So pleasant and bright and the highlight of our evening. We sat outside with comfortable weather but extremely close to an overly loud table. We moved with no issues. As for the food. The steamed mussels were plentiful but not properly cleaned with many being very gritty. Personally they were lacking flavor. A hint a garlic but not an impressive broth. The pasta dishes are void of any type of protein, (sausage, bolognese, chicken). I had the chicken cutlet with a side of pasta instead of the vegetables. The chicken was cooked properly but again, no salt or herbs and just tasteless. The pasta was plentiful but could have used some parm or a sauce or anything. Joelle’s is a nice place with nice service. Just a bit underwhelming with their dishes.

We had a delicious early dinner at Joelle last night.
Our food was prepared promptly and served steaming hot. The service was friendly and attentive, Chris was the best … we ordered the ricotta app and home made pasta dinners.

chocolate gelato for dessert is a must! we will be back soon!

Looked for a date place to grab a drink and some food. Google says they are closed from 3-5 but they are not. They have a limited menu is all.
Drinks were great, bartend was great, food was really great. I was expecting some thing to be good but everything was on point. The Salsiccia pizza was the best. The polenta fries were not what I was expecting but were better than Imagined.

We had a great dinner at Joelle. Food was excellent and pizza may be the best in Bluffton. My wife enjoyed the wine selection. Service was friendly and professional, but it was incredibly slow. They claimed to be short staffed, and the restaurant was full. It was an energetic environment but hard to hear our table conversation. Despite the minor setbacks, this is a good restaurant and we will go back.

We had dinner here at the bar and Hali was fabulous! The baked ricotta and margarita pizza were delicious. The entire staff is so friendly and welcoming! Highly recommend this restaurant! Make sure to ask Jowy for the chocolate martini shot! Incredible!
