Great option for convenient and delicious meals while staying at the Montage Palmetto Bluff or anywhere in the surrounding villages. Breakfast is very creative, dinner has one of the best Torro cuts of sashimi tuna anywhere.
Kid-friendliness: The food options include many dishes appealing to children. My daughter has loved this place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner from 8 years old to 13 years old so far.

We had a great experience at both the Octagon bar and the restaurant on several occasions throughout our stay. The drinks were excellent at the bar and bartenders very friendly and efficient.
As far as dinner, we had a party of 4 and all really enjoyed all of our meals.
We ordered several of the sushi rolls including the surf and turf as well as the "Bison NY strip & truffle fries" and shared it between my fiance and I. They were all delicious!

My husband and I enjoyed an incredible meal at Octagon. This was our first time dining there and could not be more pleased. The food was fabulous, atmosphere was great, and Ariel our server was professional- yet friendly. We will be back!!!
Kevee was the BEST server. The FOOD was also great. We had little kids with us and Everyone was so accommodating. Try the shrimp and grits, smashburger, fish dip and crackers. Fried. Green tomatoes were delish. Nice beer and wine too. All good!
The waiter was awful. He pushed our table and started talking to assist if we were supposed to be friends with him, asking personal questions and telling us way too much about his own life. Then he didn't take our food order for over 45 minutes. He spilled the cocktail when he brought it to the table on the floor, and didn't want to get a new one, despite the fact that it cost $22! The food was good, but the portions were small. The dining room area is very sterile and tables are set up in two rows. Would've preferred to sit in the bar area, but they had a piano player singing too loudly and we couldn't have any conversation.
Food was melt in your mouth good. I enjoyed every single bite of my food. The location on the water was so peaceful and beautiful, valet parking was easy. Absolutely beautiful if you want dinner with your loved ones.
Sean is a phenomenal bar tender. The cocktails and mocktails had so much flavor. TJ was a terrific server - great attitude and very knowledgeable about the menu and anticipated our needs. Will be here again before our trip is over.
We enjoyed our dinner at Octagon, and even went back later during our stay at Montage to try the lunch and breakfast menus. Kind, accommodating service with tasty meals! Would recommend for anyone staying at Palmetto Bluff.
Sushi was incredible! The chef comes from California once a month and imports fish from Tokyo seafood market. Bartenders very friendly and personable

I just randomly made a reservation to a restaurant near my final destination after an 11 hour drive The restaurant is very nice and the service attentive. Incredibly dogs friendly considering the location.
We went for a romantic dinner. This is not a romantic restaurant. The noise level is out the roof. The restaurant books large groups that act like they are in their own home instead of a restaurant. The excellent food and service take a back seat to the barrage of rude and exaggerated loud talking.

Fried green tomatoes were very good, but the shrimp and grits were even better. Loved the food, service was also excellent. Our expectations were exceeded.

Food and cocktails were excellent. Was served water, bread and fruit slices for water. Then waited 15 minutes for our waiter to arrive. She was very apologetic and comped our cocktails. Food was excellent.
Sadly, it was a very poor experience. We had a 7:45pm reservation and showed up on time, having driven 30 minutes to the restaurant. They told us our table wouldn’t be ready for 45 minutes because the diners ahead of us were eating slowly. (They also mentioned they had called us around 7:40pm, when we were already well on our way, to let us know, but we did not see the call as we were driving.)When the host saw the shocked look on our face, after informing us of the 45 minute wait, she conferred with two other hosts for a long while and they finally found us a table. But it was a huge round table for eight people and we were a party of three. Plus, it was in the back room and sandwiched between two raucous, screaming parties of eight or ten people. The decibel level was off the charts… and the embarrassed host agreed with us. We then asked for a properly-sized table in the main dining room. After much back-and-forth, during which we weren’t able to tell if they had a table for us or not, we left. What a terrible service experience for what is supposedly a five-star resort.
