Fried green tomatoes were very good, but the shrimp and grits were even better. Loved the food, service was also excellent. Our expectations were exceeded.

Food and cocktails were excellent. Was served water, bread and fruit slices for water. Then waited 15 minutes for our waiter to arrive. She was very apologetic and comped our cocktails. Food was excellent.

Sadly, it was a very poor experience. We had a 7:45pm reservation and showed up on time, having driven 30 minutes to the restaurant. They told us our table wouldn’t be ready for 45 minutes because the diners ahead of us were eating slowly. (They also mentioned they had called us around 7:40pm, when we were already well on our way, to let us know, but we did not see the call as we were driving.)When the host saw the shocked look on our face, after informing us of the 45 minute wait, she conferred with two other hosts for a long while and they finally found us a table. But it was a huge round table for eight people and we were a party of three. Plus, it was in the back room and sandwiched between two raucous, screaming parties of eight or ten people. The decibel level was off the charts… and the embarrassed host agreed with us. We then asked for a properly-sized table in the main dining room. After much back-and-forth, during which we weren’t able to tell if they had a table for us or not, we left. What a terrible service experience for what is supposedly a five-star resort.

Gary and Alex took great care of our table and the meal was outstanding. My wife had the chili soup special, which should be added as a regular menu item offering, as it was truly exceptional. We done here regularly and the Octagon team and menu offerings never disappoints.

Gary made the night so special. My last dinner in Bluffton before heading home to Houston. Everything was amazing, the Brussel sprouts, the shrimp and grits, the duck breast, tge chocolate cake and the key lime pie. My mouth waters just thinking about it! I cannot recommend it enough. And thank you again Gary for being a fabulous server.

For my birthday we decide to dine at Octagon. Kevy was our server and was knowledgeable, patient and very attentive. The oysters were out of this world and meal, which consisted of grilled Red Snapper, was amazing. Kudos to the chef.

What an enjoyable meal! The sushi was so fresh and delicious and the salmon dish with quinoa looked just as amazing. Our server Gary us top notch and aims to please. This is a special place.

Didn't think I needed to ask if the turkey in the Club Sandwhich was actual roast turkey or deli meat. Was so disappointed to find it was smoked deli meat. Service was nowhere to be found. Needed some more water & I had to get up & look for someone. I expected better from Palmetto Bluff.

Wow wow wow. The food and service is top notch. Gary helped us out two nights in a row and really made our experience extraordinary. We started with the burrata and beets salad which is fresh and delicious. We bang bang shrimp is amazing and so are all the salads. For our meals we got the duck which was very good, the shrimp and grits which seemed to be a favorite. The famous burger which if you like burgers you need to order this one. And the chicken is tender and has an amazing sauce on it. I don't think you can go wrong here. Highly recommend if you are in Palmetto Bluff.

We had breakfast here twice while staying at the Montage. The first time, everything was great. The second time, I was brought the wrong meal, then the right meal (southern eggs Benedict) was served but was barely warm, one egg was poached medium as requested, the other was runny. Disappointing for the caliber of this resort. It seems staff need significantly more training. Dinner was delicious with much better service. It’s too bad the menu is so limited —we chose to eat off site one night as there were not that many options.

Solid service and very friendly. Good menu selection overall. Rib eye was cooked and presented very well. The snapper was very good but had a significant amount of bloodline left in it which I promptly removed. The salads were also very good. Nice casual atmosphere and a large bar here.

It felt like we hit the jackpot! Spectacular Octagon setting with exceptional staff and pop up dinner from Montage Los Cabos Restaurant, Mezcal. A big thank you to our server Michele who made our experience so very special and of course to Chef Rocha and Luc who curated a perfect night! Would recommend dining at this beautiful restaurant and give it a 10 out of 10 anytime of the day. Southern hospitality is at its very best!
